Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville are The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alums whose alleged affair scandal rocked season 10, and we're here to discuss how the women have taken steps to make peace with each other. Denise exited the show after two seasons. She'd been accused of cheating on her husband with Brandi. While most fans would assume that the two would never speak again, Brandi revealed that Denise recently called a truce after their year-long feud.
The Denise and Brandi scandal is still causing rifts among the cast. Denise's good friend Garcelle Beauvais has called Lisa Rinna out for siding with Brandi and spreading the shady allegations. Brandi shocked the cast when she came forward with claims of having hooked up with Denise in the past, and even called Denise "aggressive" in bed. She also claimed that Denise and her husband Aaron Phypers had an open marriage. Denise broke the fourth wall while denying the claims. After ending the season at the center of the drama, Denise announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last summer.
No one would expect to see Denise and Brandi ever be friends again, and fans certainly didn't think that Denise would be the one to extend an olive branch. However, Brandi recently shared her reaction to the Wild Things star liking one of her Instagram photos. “Oh my God, that’s so funny,” she said on the Hollywood Raw podcast. “I have not seen her since the show, but she literally liked the photo of [me,] Eddie, LeeAnn at Mason’s birthday just the other day. She liked the photo after she called me a liar and all these crazy things.” It looks like Brandi's blended family moment with her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian and his current wife, country music star LeAnn Rimes, was enough to ease some of the tension between Brandi and Denise.
Brandi explained how surprised she was by Denise's warm gesture. “I was shocked too because I looked at it and I was like, ‘Oh my God," Brandi said. She added: "Is this the most public olive branch ever, and weird, or what is this?’ I still am in shock. I don’t know.” Then, Brandi decided to send Denise a direct message thanking her for the seemingly supportive move. “I sent her [a DM] a couple of days ago because that’s when I found out about it,” Brandi revealed. She continued: “I just said, ‘Hey, it sucks the way all this went down. Thanks for liking the photo.'” However, since then, Denise has unliked the photo.
There was a brief moment when Denise appeared to be open to reconciliation. The two were once good friends. Brandi previously explained how much time they would spend together, which ultimately led to their alleged hookup. At the time the allegations were made, the cast was split. Some housewives believed Brandi and others sided with Denise. Many fans credited Brandi with helping to bring the drama among the cast of polished and posh housewives. Viewers were critical of how reserved the ladies on the show seemed.
Brandi has petitioned to get back on the show in a full-time housewife role. She thinks she adds a lot to the storylines. However, producers went in a new direction this season. They added Crystal Kung Minkoff and Kathy Hilton to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast. Will Brandi ever get her diamond back?
