One Tree Hill: 10 TV Series The Cast Has Been In Since The Finale

Easily one of the most iconic teenage network drama series of the 2000s, One Tree Hill's run spanned nearly a decade as audiences watched their favorite characters - and the actors who played them - grow up onscreen. Since the lights dimmed over the river court and Karen's Cafe, much of the cast has moved on to a variety of television projects that run the gamut from horror streaming series to mumblecore anthologies and popular prime-time network television.

If you've ever wondered where your favorite cast members are now, nearly a decade after One Tree Hill, here are 10 TV series the cast has been in since.

10 Easy (2019) - Sophia Bush

After wrapping up her iconic role as Brooke Davis, Sophia Bush has continued to have a high profile in Hollywood both in television and as a social activist. Most recently, Bush starred alongside The L Word: Next Generation breakout star Jacqueline Toboni in Joe Swanberg's mumblecore anthology series Easy. The dramedy episode followed a woman (Toboni) in a complicated non-committal relationship who forms a flirtation with her co-worker (Bush).

Bush was nuanced and inherently charming in her portrayal of Alexandra, and she and Toboni had real chemistry that shone in Easy's profound exploration of the pitfalls of modern relationships. Bush also had a long running role on Chicago P.D.

9 Van Helsing (2016-2018) - Paul Johansson

Though Paul Johansson already had an illustrious television career prior to joining One Tree Hill in '90s' series like Beverly Hills, 90210 and 7th Heaven, his role as the love-to-hate Dan Scott cemented his A-list career. After the series, Johansson went on to have a longstanding role on Once Upon A Time.

From 2016 onwards, Johansson starred as 300-year-old vampire Dmitri in Van Helsing, a SyFy horror-fantasy series about a vampire-controlled world and the human vampire hunters desperately trying to protect the world's last shards of humanity. The series is a reimagining of the gothic horror story Dracula.

8 Riverdale (2019) - Chad Michael Murray

Fans of One Tree Hill were devastated when Chad Michael Murray stepped away from the series prematurely at the end of Season 6 to pursue other projects, though he did return to Tree Hill for the final season. After stints on Agent Carter and Sun Records, Murray returned to a major teen television sensation when he booked a recurring role on Riverdale.

The tentpole CW series cast Murray as Edgar Evernever, the devious and manipulative - but oh-so-charming - leader of the cult 'Farm' who pulls Alice into his dark scheme. He and Betty go toe-to-toe on numerous occasions, as Edgar's ghastly schemes are revealed.

7 For All Mankind (2019) - Shantel VanSanten

Shantel VanSanten has been a popular actress on television following her role as Quinn James on Seasons 7 to 9 of One Tree Hill. Since wrapping, VanSanten has taken on main roles on series such as Gang Related, The Messengers, and Shooter. Most recently, VanSanten took the leap to streaming television, appearing as Karen Baldwin on the science fiction Apple TV+ series For All Mankind.

For All Mankind explored an alternate universe wherein the USSR beat America to the moon, thus setting off a continued global space race. Its vision and exciting storylines were well received by critics and it is considered one of the premiere new shows on Apple TV+.

6 The Haunting Of Hill House (2018) - James Lafferty

Following his portrayal of Nathan on One Tree Hill, James Lafferty had one of the more quiet careers of the show's main cast, taking on recurring roles in Crisis and Underground before taking on his most recent higher-profile role in The Haunting Of Hill House.

In one of the most surprising successes in television in 2018, Lafferty played a ghostly spirit in the critically acclaimed Netflix anthology horror series most well known for launching You star Victoria Pedretti's career. The supernatural horror loosely based on the 1959 novel of the same name followed a group of five adult siblings who are haunted by the paranormal activities they experienced in their childhood home, Hill House. The ensemble cast was nominated for multiple awards.

5 Girl Meets World (2014-2017) - Lee Norris

Lee Norris originally got his start on the popular '90s series Boy Meets World before starring as the loveable "Mouth" McFadden on One Tree Hill. After the series wrapped in 2012, Lee Norris reprised his famous character from Boy Meets World, Stuart Minkus, in the 2014 Disney Channel comedy spinoff Girl Meets World.

The series followed the middle-school daughter of Cory and Topanga Matthews as she navigates life and school in New York City with her best friend. Norris' Minkus renews his rivalry with Cory and Topanga when he returns to the series.

4 Supernatural (2018-2020) - Danneel Ackles

After playing Rachel on the famed WB-turned-CW series, Danneel Ackles took on bit-roles on popular network tentpole series like How I Met Your Mother, NCIS, and CSI: Miami. In 2010, Ackles married Jensen Ackles of Supernatural fame, and 8 years later went on to book a recurring role as Sister Jo/Anael in the show's 13th season.

Ackles' Anael was an angel and Lucifer's eventual second-in-command who alternatively worked as a faith healer on Earth.

3 Pearson (2019) - Bethany Joy Lenz

Known for playing the loveable and quintessential girl-next-door Haley James, Bethany Joy Lenz's career post One Tree Hill has been rather quiet, mostly consisting of television films and small roles. Recently, however, Lenz returned to a leading role in the Suits spin-off Pearson (though the series was canceled after one season).

The show followed powerhouse attorney Jessica Pearson as she navigated the dirty and sometimes dangerous world of Chicago politics. Lenz played Keri Allen, an ambitious attorney and quasi right-hand to the city's Mayor.

2 Grey's Anatomy (2013) - Hilarie Burton

Though Hilarie Burton hasn't taken on any major television roles since she wrapped One Tree Hill and left Peyton behind, she's had brief stints on series like Extant and Lethal Weapon and has starred in numerous Hallmark and Lifetime films. Perhaps her most well-known role post-Tree Hill was as charming craniofacial surgeon Dr. Lauren Boswell on Grey's Anatomy. She quickly became romantically involved with Arizona, and audiences immediately bought into the flirty chemistry between them.

Burton's time on Grey's Anatomy was short-lived, though rumor had it she was offered a more permanent role on the series after the audience's positive reaction to her character but ultimately turned it down.

1 Bates Motel (2017) - Austin Nichols

After a stint on the later seasons of One Tree Hill as the popular love interest of Brooke (and real-life then-boyfriend of Sophia Bush), Austin Nichols has gone on to work on numerous high-profile series like The Walking Dead, Ray Donovan, and Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In the ever-popular Pyscho contemporary prequel about Norman Bates titled Bates Motel, Nichols starred in the final season as antagonist Sam Loomis. Tensions rise between Sam and Bates when the real estate developer begins an affair with Marion Crane.
