Samsung's newest wireless earbuds are now here and one of the first things to get used to is the Galaxy Buds Live's new design. With their remarkably simple bean-like shape, the Galaxy Buds Live are a lot different to other earbuds, including those previously released by Samsung. This also means special care and attention will need to be taken when using them, and especially while getting used to the new shape.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Live Buds at an event in early August, alongside a number of other Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note 20 series. For audiophiles, the new Galaxy Buds Live provide yet another option to consider buying, and are designed to directly take on Apple AirPods. In terms of the new design, unlike most other headphones and earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Live feature a distinctive bean shape that contours to the inner ear. Samsung claims the shape optimizes the sound and gives users a new, comfortable way to listen.
Due to the distinct shape of the earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Live have to be worn in a specific way for the sound to be heard correctly, according to Samsung. If they're placed in the ear at the wrong angle or upside down, the sound might come across as muffled, and the earbuds will likely feel uncomfortable. Therefore, understanding how exactly these earbuds are to be worn is something buyers will want to know.
Once the Galaxy Buds Live arrive, buyers will first want to make sure that they're charged and ready to go. Following this, heading into the settings and updating the smartphone to the latest version of the software. Not doing this could result in some of the features not working correctly, and this is particularly true for those pairing the earbuds to a Samsung Galaxy phone.
Once all set up, and after having removed the earbuds from the charging case, you'll need to place the Galaxy Buds Live in your ear at the correct orientation and in the correct ear. Each earbud should have the speaker facing the inner part of the lower ear. If the audio sounds muffled, check to make sure the speakers are facing the right direction. Once the speaker has been placed correctly, adjust the earbud so that it fits inside the ear perfectly. As mentioned, they are created to contour to the inside of the ear, so they should slide right in.
The Galaxy Buds Live also feature a touch-sensitive sensor that will make a sound once the earbud is correctly inserted. If you don't hear this sound, you can attach a different wing tip to the earbud to ensure a better fit. To attach a wing tip, check to make sure that you've got the right one for each earbud - there will be an L or an R marking at the bottom of each wing tip. When the wing tip and earbud match up, use the hook on the earbud to secure it, being careful not to tear the wing tip. Samsung also explains that the Galaxy Buds Live should never be inserted into the ear without a wing tip, as they could cause damage.
