Was Leah's mom right to say she didn’t like her daughter on The Real Housewives of New York? Leah has been very open about wanting to reconnect, but it sometimes looks like the matriarch doesn’t want to.
Fans of the Big Apple housewives are pretty much overseeing the mean girl side of Ramona Singer, but they are shocked she had continued to go after Leah for the entire 12th season. Throughout the years she has gotten herself into some sticky situations with the other housewives. Ramona has put an immense amount of effort into attacking Leah McSweeney, not necessarily realizing she may have met her match. Fans watched as Ramona felt it was okay to out her cast member as bi-polar and leave her out of group messages.
Leah McSweeney has had a few choice words regarding her upbringing and in particular her mother. Fans will recall that earlier in the season Leah told her parents that she had started to drink again. To the reality star, it was not the end of the world, but Bunny felt differently, choosing not to speak with her daughter. During the episode Leah went on to explain that she spoke with her father saying, “I'm trying to get in touch with mom, I can't get in touch with her.' And he's like, 'Mommy is like, really mad at you and she just doesn't want to talk to you right now.”
During Thursday’s all-new episode, Leah finally found a moment to sit down with her mother and talk about their issues. Leah and gone to the bathhouse with her sister, Sarah who informed her that their mother did not like them. This news hit Leah hard and she wanted to get to the bottom of it. The heart-to-heart conversation actually turned out well, with both women laying their cards on the table. Leah asked if she had ever said that she didn’t like her children to which Bunny replied, “Maybe, I might have said that.” The Married to the Mob founder immediately told her mother that was mean, but Bunny explained that there are days she does not like her children but has always loved them. Leah also admitted that she still harbors a massive amount of guilt for her teenage years. But like any mother, Bunny had some words of wisdom, saying, “You got sober. You had a baby. You have a business. You did fine. I think when you think I'm judging about the drinking ... I wouldn't want to see you lose what you have worked so hard for."
While many viewers felt that Bunny should never have told her daughters that she did not like them others could relate. The power struggle between the two was obvious but it looks like they are on the road to reconciliation.
The Real Housewives of New York airs on Thursday at 9pm EST on Bravo.
