Carole Radziwill, a Real Housewives of New York City alum, appeared on a podcast this week and spoke about the beauty standards in 2020.
Carole joined the popular Bravo franchise for its fifth season in 2012. She became a fan favorite for her relation to the Kennedy family and her cool-girl attitude. Carole had strong friendships with several of the women on the show, but most of them turned sour, including her friendship with Bethenny Frankel and Tinsley Mortimer.
Recently, the 57 year old participated in an interview on the Get Tressed With Us podcast with the Us Weekly executive editor of beauty and style, Gwen Flamberg. In the interview, Carole shared her thoughts on filtered beauty. When Carole first started on RHONY, the cast rarely had their makeup professionally done while filming, except for when they would film their confessional interviews. As the years went on, more and more of the cast members began to focus on new haircuts and other beauty-centric moments on the show. As a former journalist for Glamour, Carole was confident enough in doing her own hair and makeup. The former reality star is very low maintenance in her beauty routine and has even offered some beauty hacks.
Carole keeps her skin looking youthful by not only taking care of it, but also by using certain products that help her keep her glow. One product she recommends is using retinol before bed. She says to ease into it at first, as it can be harsh on the skin in the beginning. Once your skin gets used to it, the retinol will allow your skin to gain collagen. She also included an essence by Royal Fern into her routine, as well as the 111 Skin sheet masks. The number one skincare product she says is the most important is sunscreen. Any type of face sunscreen will do, but Carole swears by the Skinceuticals one, as it offers a skin tone-perfecting tint.
Carole also chatted about her current work-from-home style. After working for ABC News for 15 years, Carole began working from home, where she wrote and filmed for RHONY. Since she's been working from home for years, the pandemic did not change her style very much. She enjoys wearing jogger sets and revealed she owns around "8-10 jogger cashmere sets." Even when Carole is just lounging around, she still loves good quality materials in her clothing. Even though Carole loves to look youthful, she thinks it is more important to focus on beautifying your skin, rather than covering up flaws with hair and makeup.
