Big Brother: David Alexander Addresses New Claims, Da'Vonne Claps Back

David Alexander responded to Da'Vonne Rogers' explosive new Big Brother 22: All-Stars video about him, and she wasted no time clapping back. It's no secret to the fans watching BB22 that Da'Vonne and David had a very frenemies dynamic while they were on the show. Da'Vonne and Bayleigh walked into the season wanting to represent Black people and bring attention to certain political causes such as the Black Lives Matter movement. David also said time and time again that he wanted to be their ally, but his friendship with Tyler Crispen kept getting in the way.

This week, Da'Vonne Rogers released a long-anticipated Big Brother 22 video where she talked in detail about exactly what happened between her and David Alexander during the season. Among other things, Da'Vonne claimed that she never saw too much follow-through from David when it came to the promises that he was making to her. Da'Vonne also remarked that David argued with her fiercely in the jury house but never raised his voice to people like Memphis Garrett and Daniele Donato who had made fun of him all season long. In the video in question, Da'Vonne also alleged that David is still friends with Jack Matthew from Big Brother 21.

After he was able to watch Da'Vonne's new Big Brother: All-Stars video, David tweeted out a cryptic message about pain and growth. On Tuesday, David wrote in a tweet (seen below): "Social media is powerful. Narratives are powerful. Truth is hard to deal with but I choose to see the good in you and hope the pain of the past can help us grow." While this could be a reaction to a few things, it must be noted that David tweeted this out the day after Da'Vonne's video came out. He also included the BB22 hashtag to make things even clearer. On Wednesday, it was Da'Vonne's turn to react to David's response. On Instagram, the AFH winner shared a quote that read, "Accountability feels like an attack when you're not ready to acknowledge how your behavior harms others."

As a rule of thumb, social media statements can typically be justified as being unrelated to any particular person or TV show. In these cases, however, David's initial reaction and Da'Vonne's follow-up response seem clearly pointed, intentional, and related. Here's to hoping that these two co-stars can find some closure and/or resolution out of speaking their minds and sharing their perspectives with the fans.

After the lukewarm response to the latest All-Stars season, many expectations are being set for Big Brother 23. Hopefully, the season will premiere in the summer as expected.
