Although Anfisa Arkhipchenko made her 90 Day Fiancé debut in 2016 when she was dating Jorge Nava, she still remains one of the most popular stars of the franchise. Back then, Russian Anfisa got quite the reputation for being a gold digger, as TLC viewers saw her loving Jorge’s money more than him. Most predicted the end of Jorge and Anfisa’s relationship, which happened in due time when he landed in prison. However, 90 Day Fiancé star Anfisa took this rough patch in stride as she turned to fitness and never looked back.
There’s no doubt that Anfisa has a goal-worthy physique. After all, she flaunts her body on Instagram in every other photo. But Anfisa once admitted that, although she was skinny her whole life, she gained about 15 to 20 pounds when she moved to America. While it’s not a lot, it did give Anfisa a curvier look on her dainty frame, which she credited to “eating everything” and not controlling her intake. But Anfisa managed to curb her stress from her crumbling marriage and Jorge’s arrest and imprisonment with portion control and cardio. As the 90 Day Fiancé star began doing the elliptical or the treadmill six times a week and eating home-cooked meals, Anfisa filled the void left due to Jorge by staying busy with working out.
Back in 2018, Anfisa revealed her dream of competing in the NPC bikini division. She fulfilled the dream within a year and brought home three medals. As per Life & Style, Anfisa trained hard for 12 weeks and won “2nd place novice and true novice, 5th place open,” in spite of being a first-timer, in June 2019. By November of that year, Anfisa, who now had a valid green card, passed her personal trainer exam. On Instagram, Anfis confessed how she often was asked by fans for workout advice, which she felt wasn’t fair to do “without having a proper certification” just to “make a quick buck off people.” As soon as Anfisa had the certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the 90 Day Fiancé star achieved her next goal of launching her fitness programs.
In June 2020, Anfisa partnered with an app to offer complete workout sessions and a nutrition guide. As Anfisa also showed significant growth academically, having graduated from community college and transferred to UC Irvine, she also finalized her divorce with Jorge, who’s now expecting a baby with his new girlfriend. In February 2021, Anfisa kickstarted her own online workouts and customizable meal plan service called EMPOWER By Anfisa. “The EMPOWER program is for women looking to lose weight, build muscle, and feel confident in their skin,” the 90 Day Fiancé celeb writes on her website while stating that it shows “guaranteed” results.
The plan, which costs $60 for a monthly subscription and $150 for three months, was also recently endorsed by Anfisa’s new bestie and 90 Day Fiancé castmate Larissa Dos Santos Lima. A fan of constantly improving her looks, Larissa revealed she relies on Anfisa’s training guide to maintain her fit look. With support from celebs like Larissa and her 805,000 plus followers, it’s easy to see the 90 Day Fiancé star scaling newer heights in 2021 as well. But with many other TLC stars, such as Angela Deem and Colt Johnson, focusing on their fitness, will fans see Anfisa coming back to 90 Day Fiancé in a new trainer role? Now, that would be a gain for both Anfisa and her fans.
