Viewers of The Real Housewives of Dallas believe Brandi Redmond needs to stop playing the victim card in her relationship with new housewife Tiffany Moon. Ever since the season began, Brandi has felt uncomfortable around Tiffany. The two had a heart-to-heart where they spoke about Brandi's past racially intensive Instagram video. Brandi and Tiffany seemed to turn over a new leaf after the conversation, but it seems Brandi cannot get over how Tiffany reminds her of her past wrongdoing.
Season five of RHOD aired in 2021 featuring new housewife Tiffany Moon and new "friend of" Jennifer Long. Even though Tiffany and Brandi had a conversation about racial inequality within the Asian community, Brandi seemed to gravitate more towards Jennifer. After Brandi was able to be so vulnerable with Tiffany, viewers believed the women could potentially become really close friends. But Brandi has done everything she can to avoid making a real effort with Tiffany, even though she certainly thinks she has tried to build a friendship with the new cast member.
According to viewers of RHOD on Reddit, many believe Brandi is playing the victim card whenever she is around Tiffany. Viewers do not understand why Brandi is acting like the victim when she is the one who said something rude and distasteful about the Asian community. The general consensus was that Brandi was never sorry for what she said. Instead, she is only sorry because she got caught. Deep down, Brandi seems afraid of making a slip-up and offending Tiffany again. One viewer wrote, "Brandi is basically blaming Tiffany for Brandi being racist. She’s afraid of letting loose and being herself because she’s afraid she’ll slip up and say more racist things about Asians but this time, on the show."
As a defense mechanism, Brandi then tried to insinuate Tiffany was accusing her of dealing drugs when she commented on her pills. By saying that, she took the heat off of her and put it on Tiffany instead. Brandi thought she found a way to shift the spotlight to Tiffany through the pills. Clearly, this did not work and only made Brandi look even worse. She then tried to use the "are you awkward around me" excuse to make it seem Tiffany was the one who had a problem with Brandi. It was evident Tiffany was caught off guard and couldn't understand where all this animosity was coming from.
Brandi is clearly in the wrong in her fight with Tiffany. Tiffany was trying to give Brandi some grace by letting her speak her mind during their first encounter at Stephanie Hollman's house in the first episode of the season. The fact that Brandi has the nerve to insinuate Tiffany was accusing her of drug dealing is absolutely ridiculous. Brandi is angry with herself, and Tiffany is just a reminder of the person she no longer wants to be. Unfortunately, Brandi can't deal with that in a healthy way.
The Real Housewives of Dallas airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
