Bethenny Frankel from The Real Housewives of New York City made her dislike for Meghan Markle known on the eve of the big sit-down with Oprah. The Bravo alum shared her take on the couple’s power move to usurp the monarchy.
Frankel has not looked back since leaving the popular Bravo franchise. But fans are wondering if she could be a bit bored without the cameras in her life. She recently got back together with her on-again-off-again boyfriend and is still going through her divorce with Jason Hoppy. Even though she no longer has an outlet on the TV show, she is still letting her opinion of everyday life run wild on her social media.
Frankel took to her Twitter on Sunday to reveal she could care less about the CBS interview that will air tonight with Prince Harry and Markle. In what felt like a Twitter rant, the mother of one shared that the former game show briefcase holder and fairly unknown actress was overplaying her hand. She used her trademark sarcasm to drive the point home, writing that Markle went from a nobody to a royal “suffering in a palace, w tiaras & 7 figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to behind a household name w Oprah.” Check out the post below:
Frankel was not impressed with how she felt the duchess was “crying a river” and making hundreds of millions in media deals. The New Yorker was quick to defend Prince Harry, telling followers that she gave the royal a pass because he had been through so much but argued that the couple’s ploy was not the way to generate press under the guise of being fearful history would repeat itself. Many Bravo fans did not share the same views as the reality star, with one fan @faithwithheels pointing out that this tweet may be one she apologizes for in the future, writing, “This is truly a bad move during women’s month! Bethenny...just do better.”
The interview has yet to air but has already caused a ruckus with the clips that have been released. Markle is looking to attack the monarchy, but The Palace is prepared and has already countered with bullying claims of their own. There is no doubt that Markle and Prince Harry will come under fire for their remarks, and The Real Housewives of New York star’s opinion will not be the last shared on social media.
