The Pole season consists of six episodes, and offers a mature spin on the legend of Santa Claus.
In the The Pole season 1, Nick, a.k.a. Santa Claus, attempts to recover from a scandal at the North Pole. Meanwhile, Mrs. Claus tries to keep the family business moving forward with top elf Matilda and a political activist named Helenor. The Pole's main voice features Bobby Moynihan, a Saturday Night Live veteran who reunites with his former NBC colleagues Sasheer Zamata and Colin Jost. As Mrs. Claus, Jillian Bell continues to diversify her industry resume 10 years after making her film debut in Bridesmaids. Bobby Moynihan headlines The Pole voice cast as Nick, the 20th Santa Claus who struggles to maintain order at the North Pole, all the while redefining what it means to be naughty and nice. Moynihan is best known for starring on Saturday Night Live from 2008 to 2017, and currently appears as Jayden Kwapis in Mr. Mayor. He also voiced Chet Alexander in Monsters University, Mel in The Secret Life of Pets, and Louie in DuckTales.
Jillian Bell co-stars as Gretchen aka Mrs. Claus, a business-savvy woman who runs Santa's toy production operation. Bell portrayed Mercedes in Inherent Vice and another Mercedes in 22 Jump Street. She recently appeared as Dr. Taylor Wood in Bill & Ted Face the Music, Eleanor in Godmothered, and Violet Hart in Bless the Harts.
Nicole Byer voices Matilda, a workaholic student in the Elf on a Shelf program. Byer portrayed Office Nicole in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and Lizette in Young & Hungry. She also voiced Gamby in Tuca & Bertie and 40 Ounce Bottle in Woke.
Sasheer Zamata voices Helenor, a political activist who leads the Radical Naughty Party. Zamata is best known for starring on Saturday Night Live from 2014 to 2017. She recently appeared as Isis in The Last O.G. and Ayana in Woke.
Colin Jost voices Coco, a penguin who anchors "Morning Cocoa" on the North Pole News Network. Jost currently co-hosts the Weekend Update segment on Saturday Night Live, and recently appeared as Ben in Tom and Jerry. He also portrayed Mr. Duke in Coming 2 America.
SungWon Cho rounds out The Pole voice cast as Dasher, a masculine reindeer that's looking for love. Cho is a popular YouTube personality who voiced Detective Joe Furuya in Anime Crimes Division. He also voiced Hyodo in Aggretsuko and Shark in Akudama Drive.
The Pole premiered in March 2021 on SyFy.
