10 Best TLC Shows Of 2021 (According To IMDb) | ScreenRant

Reality TV fans often love over-the-top drama, and over the years, TLC has more than delivered. From long-running hits to shows that just hit the air, there really is a little something for everyone on the TLC network. Some shows become so popular that they kick off multiple popular spin-offs - hello, 90 Day Fiance - while others are but a flash in the pan, a single season and gone forever.

While fans may disagree about which show takes the spot for "best series on the network," when it comes to popularity, IMDb makes it clear which series are on viewers' minds.

10 My Big Fat Fabulous Life (3.7)

First airing in 2015, this body-positive series follows Whitney Way Thore, a woman living with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), which caused her to gain weight.  The show's title references the way Whitney tries to live her life -  her body positivity journey and enjoyment of life, regardless of size.

Along with being a fierce advocate for body positivity, Whitney's life certainly has its fair share of drama, which the show readily captures for fans to enjoy. Season eight of the series finished airing in January of 2021, and will likely return for a season nine.

9 I Am Jazz (4.2)

This TLC hit first started airing in 2015, and was one of the first reality shows of its kind, as it revolves around a young transgender girl openly discussing the struggles of transgender youth.  The reality show features Jazz Jennings as she juggles life as a normal high school girl with her work in advocacy for transgender rights, a cause she has been heavily (and publicly) involved with since age 6.  The show also features her extremely supportive family, including her parents, Jeanette and Greg,  her sister Ari, and brothers Sander and Griffen.

The show's sixth season finished airing in March of 2020 and fans are still waiting to hear a renewal, but clearly, TLC's reruns and streaming service have allowed this show to remain one of their most popular.

8 Counting On (5.2)

Shortly after the cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting in 2015 following a scandal revolving around their oldest son, the Duggar family returned to TLC with Counting On.   This spin-off aims to focus mainly on the lives of the older Duggar children, with parents Jim-Bob and Michelle taking more of a back seat than in the original series.

Proving that there's no shortage of drama in a family of 19 (and seriously still counting), the eleventh season finished airing in December of 2020, with a special airing in March of 2021 to celebrate the birth of another Duggar grandchild.

7 Welcome to Plathville (5.4)

This series began airing in 2019 and follows the extremely conservative Plath family, including parents Kim and Barry and their nine children. Cameras give fans a peek at their daily life on the family farm in Georgia - and things often get extremely tense as the children get older and begin to question (and rebel against) their parents' strict rules.

Season two of the show finished airing in January of 2021, with an explosive finale that left a lot of loose ends. Fans are still waiting to hear about a third season.

6 1000 Lb Sisters (5.4)

This runaway hit, which started airing in 2020, created instant stars of sisters Amy and Tammy Slaton, who have a combined weight of 1000 pounds. The show follows the sisters on their journey to take charge of their health and change unhealthy habits. While Tammy's weight loss goals revolve around her physical and mental health, Amy dreams of starting a family with her husband, which doctors say won't be possible until she loses some weight.

Season two wrapped up in March of 2021, but thanks to the show's popularity, fans can almost certainly look forward to a third season.

5 Return to Amish (6.2)

Debuting on TLC in 2014, this spinoff of the hit series Breaking Amish focuses on the return of the cast members to their communities after having ventured out into the 'English' world of New York City. As the cast reacclimates to life in rural Pennsylvania, they struggle with melding their Amish upbringing with the things their eyes were opened to during their time in the city.

With plenty of conflict between the cast, their families, and the community, there's no shortage of drama for fans to catch up on. The series is currently airing its sixth season.

4 90 Day Fiancé - Happily Ever After? (6.3)

This series follows couples from the 90 Day franchise after they have gone through the entire K-1 visa process and wed their partners, as they adjust to life as a married couple. With the hurried nature of many of these relationships, many of the couples are still getting to know one another even after their weddings.  When the American Dream doesn't live up to expectations, these couples continue to clash long after "I do."

Season six is set to start airing on April 25, 2021, and features both fan favorites and newlywed couples from the most recent season of 90 Day Fiancé.

3 My Feet Are Killing Me (6.6)

The latest in a long line of medical reality shows focused around rare and bizarre ailments, My Feet Are Killing Me began airing on the network in 2019. The series follows podiatrists Ebonie Vincent and Brad Schaeffer as they embark on various surgeries and procedures to treat their patients' foot problems.  Though some may find it difficult to stomach the more graphic scenes, fans clearly love this show.

The second season of the show finished airing in March of 2021.

2 90 Day Fiancé - Pillow Talk (6.7)

Former cast members welcome cameras into their homes as they sit down with friends, family members - or in the case of Tim Malcolm, their ex - to watch the latest episode of whichever show from the franchise is currently airing and provide commentary. Viewers of the series, which started airing in 2019, get to see fan favorites like Annie Suwan and David Toborowsky reacting to ongoing storylines, and based on the series' rating, fans seem to love this setup.

Recently TLC moved Pillow Talk to its Discovery+ app, so fans of the spin-off can only watch new seasons if they're subscribed to the streaming service.

1 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days (6.8)

This spin-off from the 90 Days franchise follows new couples in the earlier stages of their relationships, as they meet and explore the possibility of an engagement and filing for the K-1 visa. The most recent season featured viral sensation Big Ed attempting unsuccessfully to romance Filipina beauty Rosemary Vega.

Season four of the series finished airing in July 2020, and though the network has not yet announced the next season, fans can rest assured knowing that the franchise follows a fairly consistent cycle, so season five is likely to air in summer 2021.
