Many fans who have been watching season five of The Masked Singer have a strong feeling Jamie Foxx is under the mask of one of the six contestants left. In the past, the judge's panel has predicted the actor was under one of the masks, but their predictions were never correct. The panel even started putting a certain amount of money into a jar if one of them ever guessed Foxx. However, this season might be different, as Robopine's voice sounds similar to that of Jamie Foxx.
The judges have said Foxx as one of their many guesses for Robopine, but none of the panelists are convinced it is him. Some of them believe Robopine could be Wesley Snipes, Eddie Murphy, or Jason Derulo. Another panelist even guessed Brian McKnight, who was featured on the show's spin-off The Masked Dancer, and Tyrese Gibson. While the judge's predictions may seem tempting, some viewers are positive Foxx is hiding under the Robopine mask.
On Twitter, fans are convinced Jamie Foxx is the celebrity under the Robopine costume. The reasoning behind this guess is Robopine's singing voice. Foxx was in the film Ray in 2004, where he played rhythm and blues musician Ray Charles. Robopine's tone of voice is very similar to that of Foxx in the film. The actor also released plenty of music over the course of 20 years, which has allowed fans of his to become familiar with his voice. It is clear Foxx shares the same soulful voice as Robopine. One fan said of Robopine's performance, "That's Jamie Foxx!" while another said, "I think Robo Pine [sic] is Jamie Foxx."
However, Screen Rant's own Masked Singer prediction expert Julie Fallo disagrees with the fans and is leaning towards two other possible celebrities. While Foxx is a solid guess for Robopine, we are not totally convinced he is the one hiding under this mask. Much like Jamie Foxx, Robopine does exude a youthful energy. However, he said he is in his 60s and has grandchildren. Foxx is 53 and does not have any grandchildren. Our experts believe the true identity of Robopine is either Steve Harvey or Damon Wayans. Not only are both stars in their 60s, but they also have grandchildren. Nonetheless, not all the clues perfectly line up with these celebrities either. Some of our other guesses include MC Hammer and Terry Crews.
Nonetheless, several viewers are still convinced Foxx is masquerading on stage as Robopine. Even though some of the clues don't perfectly match Fox and the build of Robopine is very different than Foxx's, there is still a possibility that Foxx finally decided to make his appearance on the show. Robopine has become a favorite amongst fans and the judges, so there is a high chance we won't be finding out his identity for quite some time.
