Rumors have been circulating of a possible Real Housewives of Dallas cancellation after someone made a statement regarding the season 5 reunion. The series has been having quite a rough season in terms of ratings. The show is nowhere near a million viewers per episode, compared to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which has been receiving well over a million views per episode. The ladies of Dallas are going to have to step up their game next season if they get one.
The Bravo series aired its first season in 2016 with Brandi Redmond, Stephanie Holman, Tiffany Hendra, LeeAnne Locken and Cary Deuber as full-time cast members. Viewers fell in love with the cast during season 1 and loved their addition to the Housewives franchise. Whether it was the infamous fight between Brandi and Stephanie that almost ruined their friendship or when LeeAnne dressed as a two-faced Stephanie for Halloween, RHOD was a must-watch for many fans. Now it seems the series might be headed towards its last episodes.
Journalist and self-proclaimed Housewives scholar Dave Quinn tweeted out Thursday afternoon about something that was going to happen at the RHOD reunion no one has ever seen before. He said, "I can say without exaggeration that we’re going to see something at the #RHOD reunion this year we’ve never seen at a Housewives reunion before." This led many to believe Bravo may be canceling the show indefinitely. Viewers began to wonder if host Andy Cohen, will announce this reunion to be the last. Nonetheless, this isn't the only thought fans have been speculating. One follower asked, "Andy’s gonna fire someone on set?" while another inquired if Cary Deuber will be in attendance.
The latter may be a possibility as Kameron Westcott shared a photo to Instagram with Cary in New York City. She also added the RHOD hashtag in the caption. On Reddit, viewers made their assumptions as well about what Dave meant in his tweet regarding the RHOD reunion. One fan wonder if a "housewife ever walked off and not returned." Another replied added how Nene Leakes left during the season 12 Zoom reunion and never returned. Another viewer heard that one of the Housewives refused to even attend the reunion. Some were speculating that it may have been Brandi.
While no one knows for certain what went down at the season 5 RHOD reunion, viewers are hoping it isn't canceled. Even though the season was not the greatest, RHOD still has a lot of potential to do better in future seasons. With the addition of Tiffany Moon and the possible departure of Brandi, season six could possibly be their best one yet.
