The Masked Singer UK: 10 Best Costumes, Ranked | ScreenRant

The wildly popular The Masked Singer has proven to be a major hit since it was first created, and it didn't take long for the show to gain a UK spin-off. With the same concept, the series allowed some of the top UK celebrities to get under the mask, leave cryptic clues, and perform with passion and excitement.

Much like the American version of the show, this series has brought together some amazing costumes with brilliant detail being placed into all of them. Whether it's showing glimpses of the celebrity's personality, or if it's just a fun concept, there have been some fantastic costumes across the two seasons.

10 Pharoah (Season 1)

Pharoah might not have been around for too long in the original season of The Masked Singer UK, being eliminated in week two, but the costume was memorable enough. It was former Home Secretary, Alan Johnson underneath this one, and while singing wasn't his strongest skill, the costume did make him stand out.

The royal gold colors made this costume stand out from a crowd, with the fantastic details all across the outfit and the major headpiece being impressive. With the staff only adding to the overall presentation of the character, this went down as a memorable costume.

9 Alien (Season 2)

The costume of Alien was another one that didn't last long on The Masked Singer UK, with Sophie-Ellis Bextor being eliminated in the first week. However, it was great visually, bringing a science-fiction vibe to the show with one of the best masks that the UK show has created.

The outfit was sleek, modern, and fit the vibe of the sci-fi character. But it was the mask that stole the show with this one, with the long hair looking unique as she performed on stage, helping to make this an excellent costume.

8 Bush Baby (Season 2)

When it comes to the cuteness factor, Bush Baby easily takes the top spot, with this costume being an overload in that department. Blending the babygrow with different toys and the animal made for an interesting costume and one that audiences really enjoyed.

It's something that looked great and when the character was dancing around, it provided a hilarious visual that only made the character even more fun overall.

7 Monster (Season 1)

What's not to love about Monster? Despite the fact that people might have thought it would be scary given the name, Monster was actually loveable and cute, giving off a Sully vibe. While he didn't have much mobility on stage due to the size of the costume, it did provide a major presence to the character.

Professional singer, CeeLo Green was the person underneath this particular mask, with his performances being a blast throughout the show. But the costume itself was one that everybody looked forward to seeing.

6 Blob (Season 2)

Much like Monster, Blob's costume was a huge presence on the show and felt like it just pushed out a positive personality without anything even happening. Blob was cute and funny, with the bright colors and different patterns looking terrific.

The big smile brought a great vibe to the character, while its eyes flopping around were also fun. Because the lower eyes were actually the arms, it meant they became part of the performance, and with this character not having legs, it was actually set on wheels which allowed it to spin around, making Blob stand out.

5 Sausage (Season 2)

Sausage was the winner of The Masked Singer UK season two, providing some amazing vocals throughout the show. Joss Stone's performances were amazing, making her a rightful victor overall, but the costume itself was also tons of fun and pretty unique.

It was so different from everything else on the show and that's what made it great. But it was also the fact that the costume changed every week with the newspapers. The headline of the paper would change wekly, giving a clue to audiences about who was underneath the mask, which was a nice touch and added to the mystery of the character.

4 Tree (Season 1)

Tree was one of the largest costumes in the history of the show, and that in itself made it look amazing. The sheer size of the costume was impressive, and that was down to the fact that former professional soccer player, Teddy Sheringham was inside of it.

This is one of the most detailed costumes that the show has ever produced, with so much being packed into this. The actual mask itself was almost hidden within the branches and leaves, which added to the mystery. Throw in the little toadstools added around throughout the costume and it was a clear winner.

3 Viking (Season 2)

While Tree was a huge costume, Viking was the complete opposite, with this being as small as they get, but one that was also packed with detail and looked cool visually. The actual head of the character took up the entire body, which was a unique style that was a lot of fun to see.

The character often also carried around a sword and shield as well, which only added to how different Viking looked. The helmet was also great, along with the cape, with this character just being tons of fun, which is what the show is all about.

2 Hedgehog (Season 1)

The character of Hedgehog managed to finish second in the first season of the show, with comedian Jason Manford putting in some amazing performances throughout the show. But he also wore what was easily one of the greatest costumes of the show as well.

The detail in the mask for this one was superb, looking like a real animal with the focus placed in, and with the spikes on the back. Adding in the steampunk feel with the actual clothing of the character, this is one that became very memorable.

1 Dragon (Season 2)

So far, the greatest costume to have appeared on The Masked Singer UK was Dragon's, from the second season of the show. This was a fun costume that suited the songs that Sue Perkins sang, which were often about love and friendship.

The LGBTQ+ representation down the body of the Dragon was a nice touch and one that provided a clue all at the same time. Plus, the fact that the Dragon costume could actually blow smoke out of its nose only made it even greater, adding a different touch to it.
