Another season of Fortnite has come with gamers everywhere experiencing the usual changes. Alterations to the map, new quests, and new gimmicks to make this season, Primal, fresh and unique. This time, most of the high-tech weapons have been replaced with makeshift weapons that can be crafted into primal weapons.
There are also wild animals roaming the Fortnite island to attack players. Of course, as is the case with any season, there are more skins to unlock via the Battle Pass. While this season is not nearly as heavy on the guest characters, there are still plenty of well-designed skins to work for in Fortnite: Primal.
7 Agent Jones
There are a lot of Jones variations out there and there is usually at least one introduced in each season. This one is the rebellious Jones trying to work with The Foundation to save reality. The first skin is nothing too special, just Jones in a suit straight out of a Men In Black movie.
There are extra styles to earn for Agent Jones such as a tattered suit version, a look similar to Ryu from Street Fighter, a hooded Jones, and several others. Those that like to play as Jones are likely to enjoy this addition to their collection. All of these variants are earned via quests on the island.
6 Raz
The other star of the Primal season is Raz, a man with glyphs all over his body. His base skin is fine enough and nothing all that special but his variants tell different stories. The dark Glyph Master variant is featured on a map as the boss NPC of the central Spire.
At ranks 130, 180, and 215, players can unlock Chromium, Runic, and Golden skins for Raz. All providing beautifully metallic looks at the character. The only issue with these skins is that it requires an overabundant amount of grinding quests.
5 Cluck
For kids, Cluck is a great addition since he is a giant bipedal, muscular chicken. It's a chicken wearing technicolor eggshells as armor and that's just adorable. If that wasn't good enough, Cluck's variants are even better.
The first variant unlocked at Battle Pass rank 69 is the Slurpy, in which he is made entirely out of Slurp Juice, similar to the fan-favorite Rippley. Then with enough quests completed, the player can unlock Eggsplosive, giving Cluck black feathers with red war paint.
4 Tarana
Nobody fits the Primal season better than Tarana, a quest-giving NPC in Boney Burbs. Tarana resembles a character if the Jurassic World movies went full Mad Max in the best way possible. She wears dinosaur bones as armor along with velociraptor feathers as a nice garnish.
With each variant at rank 37 and enough quests completed, Tarana is given more and more armor. The final variant for her is a Chromium variant post-rank 100. Tarana is a very colorful character and perfectly fitting within the Primal season.
3 Spire Assassin
On each launching spire within the new map are Spire Assassins. They guard the spires and when defeated, they drop an epic-level weapon. The Spire Assassin is the final character to unlock in the Battle Pass and she is already a well-designed one.
However, Epic Games decided to give her an emote that makes her design even better. Upon activating the emote, her helmet deconstructs and stores inside the suit a la Iron Man. This reveals her face, providing an even more unique character.
2 Lara Croft
Who better to take on the Fortnite loop than gaming's greatest survivor: Lara Croft. Lara Croft from the immensely popular Tomb Raider games is already a master of the bow. Since Fortnite introduces flame bows and explosive bows, Lara fits right in and is ready to unlock early at rank 15. The first skin is based on the Square Enix reboot version of the character.
Nostalgic fans will be happy because there are three alternate skins for Lara. There is the classic Lara with a bright outfit and flawless features along with a low polygon version to resemble her debut on the original PlayStation. Finally, there is the golden Lara and this can be unlocked if the player goes to the island just south of the Flush Factory. An encounter with the NPC as Lara will result in the golden Lara.
1 Rebirth Raven
At this point, fans are expecting superheroes to appear in every season of Fortnite. The new exclusive Batman Zero was a great addition but is, unfortunately, only available through the in-game store. However, another DC legend appears in the Battle Pass and it is one of the founding members of the Teen Titans.
Raven, based on her Rebirth appearance, is unlocked at rank 77. For those who prefer a more classic Raven, that too can be unlocked at rank 85. A more casual look for raven is her Rachel Roth skin, which looks similar to her design on the HBO Max Titans series. This one is unlocked through enough epic quests. Raven also appears as an NPC who provides quests and sells Unstable Bows.
