MTV's Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is set to return with brand new episodes this week, leaving fans more excited than ever. To some, last season was a bit of a disappointment due to fan-favorite Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's absence. Now, with Nicole making her long-awaited return, as well as other major events taking place, fans are counting down the minutes until their favorite roommates are reunited on their television screens.
While fans still tuned in each jerzday to watch the last season of the show, it was not as entertaining as many had hoped. With the absence of Nicole, there was a fun comedy aspect missing from the series. On top of that, much of the season was focused around the long-awaited confrontation between Angelina Pivarnick and Jenni "JWoww" Farley to hash out the infamous bridesmaids' speech drama from Angelina's 2019 wedding. Once the drama was finally resolved, the cast not only had limited time left on their trip, but they also had limited amount of things to do due to filming in a COVID-19 bubble.
Earlier this month, the first official teaser for the upcoming season was released. With all of the wedding drama in the rearview, fans are excited for a fresh installment of the series. To make things even better, it was confirmed that Nicole will be making her return to the show after a season-long hiatus. From the looks of the trailer, Nicole will quickly be making up for lost time by drinking alongside her roomies upon her arrival. But, as with every new season of Jersey Shore, fans can also expect plenty of drama. Nicole will be sitting down with Angelina to resolve their differences from the wedding since Nicole was not part of the Vegas trip. When the drama settles down, the family will be celebrating some big life moments, such as Lauren Sorrentino and Deena Cortese's pregnancies and Jenni "JWoww" Farley's engagement.
Last week, MTV released short descriptions of what fans can expect to see from each roommate this season, leading to growing excitement amongst fans. While the bios were brief, they implied the season will be full of laughs and good times with a side of drama. Pauly's description left fans wondering what his mysterious question for girlfriend Nikki Hall could be. Many are hoping he is proposing, but others fear it is just a production tease and will more than likely be just a silly, simple question. With all of the drama surrounding Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his latest arrest, it is still unknown if he will be edited out of the new season. Whether he is included or not, fans are ultimately still happy he will no longer be filming with the cast.
For the first time ever, the roommates headed to the mountains to film the upcoming season. Never in Jersey Shore history has the cast filmed in cold, snowy temperatures. This change in scenery will not only be giving the season an overall new vibe, but it will also give the roomies new adventures and activities to partake in. Here's hoping the new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is a good one.
