Valorant Instant Reload Exploit Remains Even After It Was Patched

An instant reload exploit is still active in Valorant despite attempts by Riot Games to fix the issue. The competitive 5v5 shooter has gained popularity since it released a little over a year ago. It is one of the more popular free-to-play games on PC, as multiple tournaments have already taken place featuring professionals and amateurs alike. The tactical shooter has benefited from not having to deal with major issues since it first launched. However, smurfing remains a major concern for many associated with the game, as it ruins the competitive spirit; balanced game lobbies have always been a defining characteristic of Valorant.

Riot Games has prioritized improving the gaming experience for Valorant players. The updates have a proven track record of indicating that player feedback is considered when any decisions are being made. Most recently, a new game mode called Replication has been confirmed by Riot Games. The brand-new feature adds an interesting twist to the game by forcing all participants to play as the same hero. Replication is part of Episode 2, Act 3. A variety of new content dropped earlier this month as well, including new battle pass skins, weapon buddies and player cards. The novel game mode Replication is part of Riot Games' 2.09 patch. The patch released on May 11 and had been designed to address a number of issues within the game. It seems the patch was not completely successful, though, because one bug that players are worried will be easily exploited is still ruining the experience for some.

The 2.09 update was intended to fix the instant reload bug. Riot Games took efforts to fix a bug that enables players to completely bypass the reload mechanism, saving them precious time during a fight with opposition. The bug is wide-ranging too. Regardless of the map, players can venture to any orbs to utilize the exploit. Only two weeks have passed and it appears the bug is already back. Reddit user and Valorant player AtmosYT rediscovered the issue. The video illustrates how instant the reload mechanism becomes when the bug is applied. It only took the player a matter of seconds between finishing their previous ammo clip and having fresh ammo to call upon. Dexerto reports that the player reconfigured their settings before accessing the glitch. They set the interact feature to mouse wheel down and when they stand next to an orb, the bug takes over.

Valorant boasts a considerable following of fans, comprising millions of players. The game has more or less lived up to the hype it received in the buildup to its much-vaunted release last summer. Its Twitch promotion proved to be decisive in terms of marketing the game. This only fuelled the popularity even more.

So far, Riot Games has not provided any public comments on this recurring instant reload problem. The emergence of this frustrating flaw is undoubtedly disappointing for many players. They can at least take hope in knowing that Riot Games is usually very quick when it comes to fixing potentially game-breaking issues. Considering how quickly the recent 2.09 update was developed and launched highlights that point.
