Will Ferrell’s Anchorman Becomes Omni-Man In Invincible Fan Art

Will Ferrell's character, Ron Burgundy, from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is reimagined as the Invincible character, Omni-Man, in stunning fan art. Invincible, whose first season debuted on Amazon Prime on March 25th, follows Nolan Grayson, an alien from a distant galaxy known as Omni-Man on Earth, as he teaches his son Mark how to control the powers that recently manifested in his body. The first season received high praise from critics and fans alike for its talented voice cast, strong characters and epic fight scenes. The series has also been the center of inspiration for a variety of memes and fan art that have come out in the weeks following the end of the first season.

The image was created by BossLogic, an artist from Australia who specializes in high quality images of mock posters, celebrities and iconic movie scenes. His works range from a mock poster for the Highlander reboot that features Henry Cavill as Connor MacLeod, to a portrait of Robert Downey, Jr. dressed as a king holding a cheeseburger. His work has allowed him to gain a large following across a variety of social media platforms.

On May 24th, BossLogic posted his fan art that depicts Burgundy as Omni-Man on his Twitter page. For the reimagining, BossLogic gives Burgundy Nolan's grey hair and a seemingly realistic super suit. He captions the image with a variation of Burgundy's signature sign off, "You stay classy, San Diego." Check out the art below:

In terms of mediums, the two characters couldn't be further apart from one another, one being the protagonist of a live action comedy, the other being an occasional antagonist from a comic book turned streaming cartoon. However, the two do share some common characteristics, such as well groomed mustaches, affinity for red shaded clothing, as well as questionable and at times, horrific, parenting skills. Although many fans continue to draw parallels between Omni-Man and other animated characters, BossLogic's work gives the impression that these two characters are a match made in heaven.

Invincible, which has already been renewed for two additional seasons by Amazon Prime, has provided many fans with inspiration for creations such as this, yet not many can live up to the standard BossLogic has set for his work. While the characters in Invincible are no strangers to crossovers, San Diego's number one newscaster will not make an appearance on the show anytime soon, or very likely, not at all. Although Ferrell is far from fans' number one pick to play Omni-Man in a live-action adaptation, it is hard to deny how great the actor looks in the suit. As Omni-Man deals with his own glass case of emotions as the series progresses, who knows if BossLogic or other creators will develop anything else that is nearly as flawless and seemingly perfect between the two characters again. Fans can only hope.
