Critical Role's New Mini-Campaign Exandria Unlimited & Cast Revealed

New adventures await in Exandria, a Dungeons & Dragons world created by the popular web series Critical Role. Exandria has been the location for both of Critical Role's past campaigns Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein, as well as many one-shot episodes. A new mini-campaign has been revealed that will star six actors, including familiar faces like Matthew Mercer and Ashley Johnson, as they embark on a journey that could potentially impact the overall timeline for upcoming Critical Role content.

The new mini-campaign, Exandria Unlimited, will be eight episodes long and will be set in the city of Emon with an entirely new party of characters. The events of Exandria Unlimited take place 30 years after the events of the first Critical Role first campaign Vox Machina, and 10 years after The Mighty Nein, as the world recovers from the Chroma Conclave attack. This is exciting news for fans of Critical Role who have been waiting to find out what happened to the world after the end of the last campaign.

Critical Role has become an example of what many hope to achieve in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. With long-time DM and actor Matt Mercer running both previous Critical Role campaigns, and a cast of seasoned actors playing the characters in each party, sessions take on an engaging and theatrical tone that has inspired many to pick up the dice and start playing D&D. However, Exandria Unlimited will see a few changes, as Matt mercer is giving up the DM seat to Aabria Iyengar of Happy Jacks RPG, and joins fellow actors Aimee Carrero, RobbieDaymond, Ashley Johnson, and Liam O’Brien as a member of the new campaign party.

The new mini-campaign Exandria Unlimited is set to launch on June 24th at 7 PM PT and will continue to air every Thursday, and like past episodes, will viewable on Critical Role's Twitch and YouTube channels. The audio will also be available in podcast format on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts a week after the original airing.

For those just learning about D&D podcasts like Critical Role, it may be best to wait on listening to the new mini-series, as it will likely contain spoilers for the end of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein. Thankfully, the live broadcasts for the episodes will be available to watch on-demand on both YouTube and Twitch for those still catching up. Currently, there is little detail about what to expect during Exandria Unlimited, so fans will need to tune in to see what Critical Role has planned for the future of the web series.
