Chris Hemsworth's muscles and Korg's return are prominently featured in a new Thor: Love and Thunder set photo to celebrate the movie wrapping production. In the lead-up to Thor 4, it became evidently clear that Hemsworth was going to be in tip-top god of thunder shape once more. The use of Fat Thor in Avengers: Endgame will be short-lived, as the franchise star repeatedly has touted his superhero physique in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest movies of Phase 4.
The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster will bring director/writer/actor Taika Waititi and Hemsworth back together after Thor: Ragnarok's success. Even though the movie is still a solo film for the god of thunder, it also is a massive ensemble film featuring Valkyrie, Mighty Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Korg, Gorr the God Butcher, and many other characters. Production has been underway in Australia for the last several months, and the majority of set photos for Thor: Love and Thunder continued to highlight Hemsworth's new Thor look and his massive muscles.
Hemsworth has now taken to Instagram to celebrate the end of principle photography on Thor: Love and Thunder. He commemorated the occasion by sharing a photo of him on set with Taika Waititi. Hemsworth is featured wearing another tank top to show off his bulging biceps, while Waititi is shown in his mo-cap attire to play the fan-favorite rock warrior Korg.
After wearing a far suit for much of Avengers: Endgame, it seems clear that Hemsworth is relishing the opportunity to once again showcase his actual physical form. Thor: Love and Thunder appears to give him plenty of different outfits that don't hide his transformation. Given his heavier appearance the last time audiences saw him and recent set photos of Thor working out in a headband, it won't be too surprising if Thor 4 includes a fun 80s-style training montage to show how the god of thunder gets back in shape.
Thor's muscly look isn't the only makeover teased in this Thor: Love and Thunder set photo though. Waititi's attire for his mo-cap role as Korg is quite intriguing. The talented creator wore a traditional mo-cap suit while filming Thor: Ragnarok, but this image shows him wearing a shirt with Korg's rock design on it and armor on top of it. This could just be Waititi's way of having fun since Korg will be an entirely CGI creation once again, but it could also be an accurate representation of what the friendly warrior might look like. The fur collar and armor will be nice additions to Korg's look if they are featured. Now that Thor: Love and Thunder has wrapped filming, though, fans will likely have to wait for the movie's marketing campaign to begin to see more of these characters and the first look at many of the film's other stars.
