Fire Emblem Heroes Survey Reveals The Rarest Units Among Players

A new Fire Emblem Heroes survey on Reddit is tallying up the rarest heroes for players to obtain in the game. The mobile Fire Emblem game has been a smash-hit for Nintendo, and there doesn't appear to be any sign of it slowing down. The gacha mechanics that have been present since launch are a big reason why new content continues to be released – with players throwing in some of their hard-earned dough for the chance to get rare characters in return.

At the time of writing, there are nearly 700 heroes in the game that come in many different types. There are melee users that wield swords, lances, and axes, but there are also magic users, archers, manaketes, and even beast units. With how many heroes are in the game, some are gonna be better and rarer than others, and the rarest units tend to be those on limited seasonal banners. As a result of the number of heroes, many heroes are releasing to outclass older heroes.

User ShiningSolarSword, who does hero rarity surveys once per year, is once again surveying to see which are the most common and rare heroes in the game. ShiningSolarSword's post details that the main things to determine from the survey are which heroes are the rarest, which is the least and most owned five-star heroes, and which heroes do players have fully merged or not. With nearly 700 heroes registered in the game, this survey increases in data every year that this is conducted.

Soon, Fire Emblem Heroes will also release special choose your legends versions of heroes voted in a contest before the game's fourth anniversary. Among those characters include the Gatekeeper from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, with his victory garnering some controversy. The other characters include Marth, Eirika, and Marianne, with Marianne also from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Presumably, players will be able to select one of these characters to summon for free as with previous choose your legends events.

Fire Emblem Heroes has faced controversy in the past for various reasons such as the FEH pass, a subscription service that granted players various benefits for paying $9.99 per month. The powercreep combined with the number of heroes added has also received a mixed reception from audiences. But Fire Emblem Heroes is still the biggest Fire Emblem crossover there is, and the game's lifespan is only bound to keep going for some time due to the gacha format. Most recently, the game added pirate-themed versions of some characters. The hero counter keeps increasing exponentially by the year, and with it comes an increase in getting specific heroes in Fire Emblem Heroes, as the survey results will likely show.
