The newest update to Fortnite has once again provided players with a bunch of interesting challenges to complete, including fishing for guns. The Week 10 challenges consist of many unique activities like visiting the Guardian Towers, or spending some time traveling in an Inflate-A-Bull. As usual, if they complete these challenges the player will receive a decent amount of experience points that will help them boost battle pass considerably, and maybe, get their hands on the new Superman costume.
This particular Fortnite challenge revolves around one of Chapter 2's biggest additions to the game formula, Fishing. This challenge tasks the player with catching a gun while they are out fishing. This may seem like a simple enough task to complete, but doing so without getting attacked by some rogue players may prove more difficult than some players can manage.
Fishing has become a pretty standard Fortnite pastime over the last several months, and doing so can actually help the player acquire many useful resources. Usually, these come in the form of power-ups, healing items, or actual fish, but occasionally the player can acquire a gun as well. In order to do this, the player will first need to track down one of the fishing poles that can be found around the map. Once this has been done, the player can then just travel to any number of fishing spots and begin fishing. It may take a few tries but eventually, the player will fish up a gun and complete the challenge.
The player will more than likely want to try doing this somewhere where there isn't going to be a lot of other players. Since this has the potential to take a little bit of time to complete, it is fairly likely that another player can get the drop on them. To avoid this happening the player will want to stay as far from heavily populated locations on the map as possible. Lazy Lake is a great place to go fishing in Fortnite for example, but other players tend to hang out there a lot. Instead, the player can try fishing at the fishing holes around Shanty Town or Cape Cod, where it is more likely to be a little quieter.
Fortnite can be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android.
