Microsoft has unveiled the Aqua Shift controller for Xbox Series S/X, which will feature rubberized side grips. The Xbox Series X/S controller is one of the most comfortable on the market, and (unlike the DualSense) it's backward compatible with the Xbox One. That also means that, yes, Xbox One controllers work with the Series X/S.
The official Xbox Twitter account has announced the upcoming Aqua Shift Special Edition controller for the Xbox Series X/S. This is the first special edition controller to have rubberized side grips, which are coupled with textured triggers, bumpers, and back case. The Aqua Shift controller costs $69.99 and pre-orders are now live, with a planned release date of August 31, 2021.
The Xbox Series X/S might not have the features of the PS5's DualSense, but it's still an excellent controller and is the go-to choice for PC gaming. It's also easy to connect to mobile devices. There are already options for people who wish to design their own controller, while people on a budget can purchase colored silicone gel cases for the base Xbox Series X/S controller if they fancy a change of pace, so there are other options for blue controllers on the market. The Aqua Shift Special Edition controller is being promoted as one of the most comfortable yet, with a mystical color scheme that is more impressive than the base controllers that come with the Xbox Series X.
The Aqua Shift controller for Xbox Series X/S can be pre-ordered now and it's due to be released on August 31, 2021.
