The Challenge: Everything To Know About Season 37's Lauren Coogan

Lauren Coogan has had a shocking journey on The Challenge season 37, and here's everything fans need to know about the spy who went rogue. Lauren's brief run on The Challenge has been full of mystery, scandal, and conspiracy, as the reality personality believes she was taken advantage of by the hit reality competition series' producers. From her background before starring on The Challenge season 37 to her explosive tell-all social media posts following her abrupt departure, this is all there is to know about Lauren.

Lauren made her debut on reality TV on Love Island USA season 2 in August 2020. Lauren was born on November 13, 1991, in Oxford, England. This means that Lauren is 29 years old and a Scorpio Sun sign. Lauren's experience on Love Island was disappointing for the Water sign, as she only lasted five days in the famed villa. Lauren entered the popular dating competition on the 10th day of season 2 and immediately went on dates with three bachelors. On the day of the third re-coupling, Lauren was paired with 25-year-old personal trainer Tre Forte. Regrettably, both Lauren and Tre were among the bottom three couples and Lauren was ultimately voted off of the island.

Although Lauren wasn't able to find love or make much of an impression on audiences during her Love Island excursion, the television personality got a second chance on The Challenge. Unfortunately, Lauren's run on The Challenge season 37 only extended the star's pattern of bad luck on reality TV. Lauren was re-introduced on the season 37 premiere, but she hardly got any screen-time. The Challenge fans noticed Lauren was effectively erased from her debut episode in the competition. Aside from partnering up with Josh Martinez of Big Brother fame, Lauren was missing from The Challenge season 37 premiere. In episode 2, Josh was told Lauren had left the competition and he was getting a new partner, Amber Borzotra. While no one from the reality show has addressed Lauren's removal, fans have speculated that the Oxford native made an insensitive comment about her castmate, Aneesa Ferreira.

Since her removal from The Challenge, Lauren has moved on from her days as a covert spy and is spilling as much information about the scandal as she can. On August 12, Lauren took to her Twitter to address the audience's questions about her departure and express her frustration with her experience on reality TV. Lauren wrote, "I got gaslit and scapegoated on two major networks within the same month." The Love Island season 2 alum referenced her alleged insensitive comments in her comment, "Reality TV is supposed to be a source of entertainment... We didn’t sign up to be role models or politicians." Lauren spoke more about her The Challenge ordeal in her Instagram stories. Lauren explained that MTV fired her before they could review her comments and proclaimed, "I was f**ked!" When asked if she'd return to The Challenge, however, Lauren answered, "Never say never."

Lauren has endured more than any obstacle she could've faced on Love Island or The Challenge in the fallout of her duo of disappointing reality television experiences. While no one has confirmed what it was that internet influencer Lauren Coogan said that got her fired, the former spy has been frank with her followers about the emotional turmoil she has faced after leaving TV. Although she has been fighting an uphill battle since her experience on The Challenge, Lauren hasn't surrendered yet.
