The Week 3 challenges in Destiny 2 Season of the Lost are available to complete, continuing the tale of two queens with Mara Sov and Savathûn. Guardians will be able to continue Wayfinder's Voyage and Umbral Wayfinder for the third week's rewards. Additionally, more Gambit, Crucible, and Vanguard challenges are issued, prompting plenty of activity in the three core playlists. Thanks to the reward system in Season of the Lost, attempting to complete these challenges will passively earn ranks the respective core playlists activities - unlocking the Ascendancy Rocket Launcher at rank 16.
Some challenges will have continued progression from weeks one and two. In particular, the Wayfinder's Troves found in Astral Alignment will have progress that backtracks. No Trivial Mysteries are part of the challenges this week. Additionally, anyone who missed the Iron Banner in week two will have to wait until the activity returns to complete the Iron Sharpens Iron challenge. Iron Banner returns for one week every month that Season of the Lost is active, meaning there will be five more opportunities to complete all of week two's challenges.
New Seasonal challenges will continue to be issued within the first 10 weeks of Season of the Lost. Before starting the challenges, it's a good idea to visit Destiny 2 Vendors in the Tower to grab bounties for the week. Completing bounties will reward XP and other items, depending on the vendor.
There are 10 new challenges for week three in Season of the Lost. Week three brings players to Destiny 2's moon, the Shattered Realm, and the Astral Alignment activity in the Dreaming City. The Shattered Realm activity can be accessed in the HELM. The new challenges are:
- Wayfinder's Voyage III
- Umbral Wayfinder III
- Initiate Ley Liner
- Astral Telemetry I
- Sacred Scorcher
- Primeval Entourage
- Light Moon Rising
- Challenger's Apogee
- Long-Range Calibration
- Ultimate Champion
Wayfinder's Voyage III
Wayfinder's Voyage III continues the 53-step-challenge that was issued at the beginning of the Season of the Lost. If the Wayfinder's Voyage II quest challenge from Season of the Lost week two is completed, the new quest step will immediately start as soon as Destiny 2 is logged into. Finish Wayfinder's Voyage III and defeat Taken or Hive enemies anywhere in the system to complete this challenge. Stasis final blows will grant bonus progress.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- Wayfinder's Compas Calibration Level
Umbral Wayfinder III
In the HELM, use Parallax Trajectory to focus Tier II or greater Umbral Engrams at the Prismatic Recaster. Options for Tier II and greater engrams can be unlocked by completing and claiming the Triumphs under the Prismatic Lenses tab for Season of the Lost. If the Triumph is completed but not claimed, the options for Tier II and greater engrams won't be available. Additionally, more Wayfinder's Troves have to be opened in the Astral Alignment Activity, and their progress carries over from the two weeks before.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- Wayfinder's Compas Calibration Level
Astral Telemetry I
Astral Telemetry I still takes Guardians to the Shattered Realm. This Season of the Lost challenge is likely to repeat in the future, given the "I" in its name. Gather 4,500 Parallax Trajectory from either playlist activities or Astral Alignment, or from Ascendant Anchors found in the Shattered Realm and other destinations in the system. Parallax Trajectory gathered from weeks one and two backtracks for this challenge. No week three challenge requires any Trivial Mysteries to be located, but there are still bound to be secrets within the new Shattered Realm location.
Reward
- 25,000 XP
Initiate Ley Liner
Complete rounds of Astral Alignment and defeat Taken with the Taken Relic. The Taken Relic is the item that drops from the minor boss enemies during the final boss fight. The Taken Relic is also the item that is needed to break the boss's immune shields, and there are multiple opportunities to grab one during this activity. Additionally, Taken Relics are the items that drop and need to be used to progress from stage to stage in Astral Alignment.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- Wayfinder's Compass Calibration Level
Sacred Scorcher
In week three, Team Scorched returns to Crucible. It's all Rocket Launchers, all the time, and the objective is to get 50 total kills with the in-game designated Rocket Launcher. Team Scorched is only around for one week at a time, just like Momentum Control was during week one of Season 15.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Primeval Entourage
Primeval Entourage brings Guardians back to Gambit, requiring them to defeat the Taken in Gambit. These Taken can either come from making it to the end of the activity and defeating the Primeval and its protectors or by defeating the Taken sent over by opponents. Send over two or more Taken to the opponents' side to start stealing their motes, giving them the opportunity to send more Taken back to the "good guys" side.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Light Moon Rising
Fly to the Moon, and complete Light Moon Rising by finish bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors. Lost Sectors grant the most progress at 11% per completed sector, and can be completed in just a few minutes. Acquire bounties from Eris Morn and the Lectern of Enchantment (Shadowkeep Expansion required). Some bounties reward reissued Moon Gear.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Challenger's Apogee
This Destiny 2 challenge should be a breeze for any Guardian in Season of the Lost, whether they play regularly or here and there. Reach light level 1320 by using Powerful and Pinnacle Engrams earned in various activities. This includes the power bonus from the Wayfinder Compass Artifact. 1320 is the soft cap for the Season, which means gear earned that isn't Powerful or Pinnacle won't drop higher than this level.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Long-Range Calibration
Continuing the adventures on the moon, Long-Range Calibration requires players to use their Pulse Rifles, Bows, and Trace Rifles on the Moon to get kills. Bonus progress is earned in Lost Sectors. Pulse Rifles and Bows are also two of the weapons with Seasonal Artifact Mods in Destiny 2, so any Lost Sector on the Moon that is Legend or Higher with Unstoppable and Overload Champions will help complete this challenge quickly. Check the Moon daily to see if any of its Lost Sectors are the Legend or Master Lost Sectors for the day.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Ultimate Champion
Ultimate Champion brings Guardians to Nightfall strikes on Hero difficulty or higher. Defeat Champions to complete this challenge. Bonus progress is awarded for the higher tier difficulties. Light level 1320 is recommended for Legend Nightfall strikes, so anyone who has the Challenger's Apogee challenge completed should start looking at this activity.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
