All the Times Kim and Kanye Showed the World They’re Unbreakable

As with many celebrity couples, divorce rumors have circulated Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars Kim Kardashian and Kanye West since they got married in 2014. From assuming they're on different pages in quarantine to blaming Kanye's bipolar disorder and bringing up that 2018 TMZ rant, there have been multiple attempts made to take the couple down.

Rumors circulate all the time when it comes to the Kardashians, take for instance the time Kim was accused of Photoshopping her kids in an Instagram post. Sometimes the things fans hear might be true, such as the extent of surgery the Kardashian-Jenners have had, but it doesn't mean that every story is based on fact. While Kim is a reality TV star and her husband is a world-renowned rapper, when it comes to their personal lives, it seems that they'd prefer to keep things private. Kim and Kanye have proved many times that their relationship is strong.

It's no secret that Kanye had an obsession with Kim before they even got together. He's spoken during many interviews of how they'd cross paths with both being in the entertainment industry. During a 2013 interview with Kris Jenner, Kanye said it was love at first sight with Kim, "I remember seeing pictures with her, I think she was in Australia with Paris Hilton or something, and reading her name and telling my friends like 'man, have you ever seen Kim Kar-da-sean?'...I was in love with her before I ever got to talk to her." For someone to have that much interest in someone else for such a long period of time, it's got to be true love, right?

Kanye is well-known for speaking his mind and he did just that on his 2012 song 'Theraflu' when he called out Kim's ex-husband Kris Humphries, "And I'll admit, I had fell in love with Kim, Around the same time she had fell in love with him, Well that's cool, baby girl, do ya thang, Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team." It's safe to say the rapper could have had his fair share of women to choose from, Kanye had girlfriends before Kim including Alexis Phifer, Brooke Crittendon and Amber Rose, but clearly they didn't work out for a reason. Kim also had a number of failed relationships prior to marrying Ye including Damon Thomas, Reggie Bush, Ray J, Nick Lachey, Nick Cannon, Miles Austin and Kris Humphries.

It's a confirmed thing, the "Kardashian Curse," but it doesn't look like Kanye's fallen victim to it. The "Kardashian Curse" is essentially a theory that some people who want to be around the Kardashians, whether friends or boyfriends, can't be due to their worldwide popularity. Because of the media circus that surrounds all the family members and their loved ones, a lot of potential partners are unable to stick around, take Khloe Kardashian's 2015 boyfriend James Harden, for example, speaking to Sports Illustrated he said he "didn't like all the attention." Kanye doesn't seem bothered one bit by Kim's level of fame. Given that he was a musician and a celebrity in his own right prior to them getting together, Kanye was versed in the world of paparazzi, press and rumors already. He already hated the paparazzi, that was clear to see, but he's willing to endure it because he loves her so much.

Kanye is absolutely smitten with Kim and one thing he loves to do is show his girlfriend, and now wife, how much he loves her. The couple's proposal was aired during Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 9 episode 5 and the "All Day" singer went to great lengths to ensure it was a memorable occasion for Kim. Kanye got down on one knee in an empty baseball field and arranged for the words "Please Marry Me" to read on a huge screen. It was arranged for all Kim's family and friends to surprise her after she said "yes," too. Anyone who has watched the KUWTK episode will be able to see that the chemistry between the pair is undeniable.

The number of children they want to have has been a topic of disagreement between Kim and Kanye. In 2019, Kanye said during Airpool Karaoke with James Corden that he wanted seven children, but it looks like they've settled for four. North, 6, Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1, are Kim's "whole world" according to her Instagram account. Any couple who are raising a lot of children together are going to experience some stresses but four kids later and Kimye is still going strong.

It's unlikely for a couple who renewed their vows in 2019 to get a divorce in 2020, surely? Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 17 episode 6 saw Kim and Kanye renew their vows following the birth of their fourth child, Psalm. It seemed as though they finalized their decision to have two girls and two boys and round off their creation of a family with a vow renewal. During the episode, Kim can be heard saying, "Kanye and I have been so close for so many years. I'm finally marrying my best friend." Kim planned the vow renewal so now that rumors are emerging that she's "had enough" of Kanye in lockdown... it just doesn't add up.

While Kanye isn't one to post to IG unless it's on his Sunday Service account, Kim is the Instagram Queen, and she's certainly not shy to declare her love for her husband online. On their sixth wedding anniversary on May 24, Kim shared some snaps of herself and Kanye captioned, "6 years down; forever to go Until the end." She also took to IG on June 9th to wish her "King" a Happy Birthday. Any couple on the rocks probably wouldn't be uploading appreciation posts, amidst all the stories coming out that their marriage is over, Kim is clearly stating her point of view via Instagram.

It's quite rare that Kimye are seen filming together, besides the few KUWTK scenes they've filmed, but watching them communicate and have a laugh with each other, it's clear to see that they're in love. In a 2020 interview with Architectural Digest, Kim and Kanye prove how much they're in tune with one another when they had to answer questions about their home. Kim asked her husband "What is the most prized possession in the house?" Kanye replied, "You." So, as of February, things in the Kardashian-West household looked rosy.

One thing which shows that Kim and Kanye are an unbreakable couple is the fact that they don't even address the rumors. They're both well versed in how the media machine works and of the couple, Kim is especially select with what she puts out into the public forum. Kanye has had his moments of speaking out and making comments that could have been misunderstood, and anyone who watched Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 15 episodes 16, will know that Kim did her best to express her feelings on the comments Kanye made during a 2018 TMZ interview. She said, "Everyone thinks that he's like having a breakdown, just because of his Tweets, when he gets ramped up he can't control what he says. I always know what Kanye's intentions are and what he's trying to say but I also know that they're going to write a headline or assume that that's exactly what you meant. That as a wife is really frustrating." Many of the Kardashian family marriages haven't turned out particularly well but marriage is hard for many people. Rumors are bound to continue surrounding Kim and Kanye. But judging from their six years together so far, they're solid as a rock.
