The 100 Season 7 Episode 7 Trailer, Release Date, News

The 100 Season 7 is here!

Sadly, this will be the last outing for The 100. CW President Mark Pedowitz confirmed during the network’s 2019 Summer TCA press tour appearance that The 100 season 7 will be the show’s final season, though it may live on in a prequel series.

As a midseason premiere, The 100 was one of the lucky shows to wrap up production before the COVID-19 hit, so we will be getting an entire season of the science fiction drama. Production on Season 7 started back up in August and wrapped in March, so the entire season should be good to go, unlike some other CW productions that had to shut down production before the season finished.

Here’s our review of the latest episode, “Nakara.”

What’s next? “The Queen’s Gambit,” which will air on Wednesday, July 1st at 8pm ET. Check out the promo…

Here’s the synopsis…

“Emori tries to heal Sanctum’s old familial wounds, while Echo, Octavia and Diyoza struggle with new ones.”

The 100 Season 7 Story

The CW recently released the following poster for Season 7, which features the unexpectedly optimistic tagline “It doesn’t end here.”

The 100 Season 7 promo poster

The 100 Season 7 will dive further into The Anomaly, which is one of the elements we have major questions around entering the seventh season.

Speaking to TVLine about The Anamoly and the adult Hope twist in the Season 6 finale, Rothenberg said: “That reveal is obviously mind-blowing. The fact that Hope is now in her early twenties, when three days ago she was a fetus, does begin to imply some things about the Anomaly and about where we’re going.”

How might The 100 end? Rothenberg told Nerdist last year:

I had this idea for how I wanted the show to end. But it was scalable and that ending could have been at the end of season three, it could be at the end of season five, it could be at the end of season eight. Those decisions are not really mine. I don’t think that this is a show that runs for 10 seasons. But I love these characters and this world so much that it’s fresh for me every year. We tell a different story every year so we don’t get bored with it. I still have an end story in mind, but I don’t know when that end is going to be and I feel very, very confident that I’ll get to tell it eventually.
