Angela Deem’s dream of getting married to Michael Ilesanmi finally came true on 90 Day Fiancé. Since their first appearance on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2, Angela and Michael have broken up many-a-times on multiple TLC spin-offs. With their baby drama and her weight loss surgery added to the mix, the controversial couple’s future looks pretty bleak to most 90 Day Fiancé fans. And as a forlorn Angela awaits Michael’s arrival in America by posting wedding throwback pictures, her Instagram followers are having the last laugh.
If there were to be a list of the most problematic couples on 90 Day Fiancé, Angela, 54, and Michael, 32, would easily make it to the top five. Over the course of their launch from 2017 till today, their relationship has seen nothing more than unrest. Michael’s cheating scandal, Angela accusing him of theft, them infamously breaking up during a Tell-All, everything has added large doses of drama to their 90 Day Fiancé romance. More recently, Michael and Angela’s baby dilemma was a major plot point with him wanting a child quite badly and Angela having just one egg left. As the couple fought over IVF and surrogacy yet again, Angela revealed her weight loss surgery plan and how Michael’s America move was getting affected by COVID-19. Since the beginning, certain 90 Day Fiancé fans have always found Angela to be controlling, and Michael staying with her only for a green card. And looks like even after their happy marriage, some of Angela’s followers haven’t changed their mind.
Michael and Angela got married on January 27 in Lagos, Nigeria, where she looked “beautiful, sexy, young, adorable” as per her husband. But Angela who was apparently marrying Michael just so they could be together in the United States, questioned the wedding officiant, “Obey what? And obey who?” when he mentioned “to obey” as a part of the 90 Day Fiancé couple’s vows. Angela refreshed this memory in her Instagram followers’ minds by posting a throwback picture from her wedding.
A top-rated comment repeated Angela’s obey quote on the post captioned, “Mr, and Mrs. Michael Ilesanmi” but a few others asked her to give Michael “his green card already.” A well-wisher, who believes the account is operated by Angela and Michael jointly wrote, “Michael when you get to the US… runs for the hills!!!” and a rather blunt follower posted, “I want also old women.” One of Angela’s creative 90 Day Fiancé fans compared their love story to Get Out, saying it was “part 2” of the popular horror movie. But mostly, all the other messages on Angela’s post wished for Michael to make it to America and start a happy life with his wife and her large family, ASAP.
Angela is rumored to be getting a new fitness-based 90 Day Fiancé spin-off basis her new weight loss transformation. But while TLC is yet to give a confirmation on that one, Angela’s already been roped in to adorn the couch for 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Pillow Talk. The Georgia native has been facing a lot of backlash online for her apparent TMI of bedroom stories with Michael, and more importantly for having replaced the popular Tim Malcolm and Veronica Rodriguez. However, it’s easy to see that wherever Angela goes, the drama follows, be it on Instagram, or reality TV screens, which clearly explains the 90 Day Fiancé franchise’s fondness for her.
