Fans of the popular reality show 90 Day Fiancé, which has entertained reality TV lovers the world over with its seven seasons and seven spin-offs since 2014, is launching an official podcast, with Colt Johnson as its first guest. The popular TLC show is all set to win fans over again in a brand-new format.
When the topic revolves around 90 Day Fiancé, there is always something to talk about. The unscripted show, which kickstarted with an unusual concept of Americans welcoming their long-distance lovers to the country on K-1 visas, took the world by storm. Fans saw multiple couples, each with a different and more dramatic story to tell. The couples were looking forward to settling in the States after 90 days of fights and fun. While some made it to the altar, some 90 Day Fiancé couples got chances to retell their tales with spin-offs. After successfully launching a reality TV universe of its own, 90 Day Fiancé is testing the waters with a podcast.
Simply called 90 Day Fiancé: The Podcast, the show will be premiering on December 1, making the holiday season more festive for reality show fanatics. As per a report from Us Weekly, the podcast will be hosted by Mike and Alexa, who are considered TLC insiders. The hosts will provide recaps to the new episodes and also interact with 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast members. While the names of these past and current cast members aren’t known as of this writing, the first guest of the podcast has been revealed as the controversial Colt Johnson. A statement by TLC Vice President Cameron Curtis about 90 Day Fiancé: The Podcast states, “We have continued to feed the 90 Day superfan appetite with franchise expanders, yet there was one platform left untapped, until now.” Mr. Curtis also adds that the network is excited to bring the show’s viewers “further under the 90 Day tent.” This will be achieve by getting fans up close and personal with various 90 Day couples who will: “share their international love stories in this intimate, unvarnished way.”
TLC has certainly been keeping its fans well-fed with content, especially after announcing the launch of 90 Day Fiancé season 8, following the surprise drop of a trailer. With 90 Day Fiancé: The Podcast premiering on December 1 on Apple, Spotify, and Stitcher, and the new season starting on December 1, it’s surely going to be a very merry month for the 90 Day Fiancé franchise's fanbase.
