Fans are learning why Ariela Weinberg's mother, Janice, from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, doesn't believe her daughter's relationship will work out. Biniyam has not sold his third-world lifestyle to the American family, and her parents think it's time for Ariela to come home.
To TLC fans, it is starting to look like the couple doesn't have support from either side of their family. It is painfully obvious to viewers that Ari keeps emasculating her fiancé in front of everyone, even trying to control when and where he works. The American wanted her baby daddy to make a good impression on her parents, but he let her down when he chose to go to work instead.
But Biniyam's work hours are just the beginning of his problems with Ari. On the early premiere for Sunday’s episode, fans will see the new grandmother leaving her daughter and grandson behind once again, but not before she tries to convince her daughter to come home with her. Both Ari’s mother and father do not feel Ethiopia is the right place for Avi to grow up, and they encourage Ari to start seriously thinking about coming home.
As Janice packs her bags, she tries to have a heart-to-heart with her daughter to explain that, if she was happy, her family would always support her. But the grandmother makes it clear that she does not believe her daughter is happy. As Ari tries defending herself, Janice points out that she was the one to give up everything, including a job, friends, and her support system. After the conversation ends, Ari tells the film crew she was doing what was right for her and her new family. She fully believes Biniyam deserves to be around his child and help care for him.
Fans were curious why the couple did not decide to come to America and follow through on the K-1 visa. The show has not hinted at any reason behind staying in Ethiopia, and it seems both Biniyam and Avi would have a better life in the US, including a bathroom with running water. Fans will have to tune in to Sunday’s episode to see how Janice’s departure affects the family.
