The waves of amazing Among Us fanmade content continue to roll in, and these Pokémon skin concepts that have HMSurfed their way into the limelight should absolutely become a reality. Among Us has taken the gaming sphere by storm, and its immense popularity has generated some top tier fanmade content.
However, Among Us was not always the massive success it is today. Releasing in 2018, Among Us could have easily been declared a failure at launch with its minuscule player base. Thanks to the power of streaming, Among Us has skyrocketed in popularity over the past couple of months amassing millions of players. While the small team of developers has focused all of its efforts to push out meaningful updates, Among Us' fans have been hard at work generating their own content.
While it would take some work for developer InnerSloth to convince Game Freak and Nintendo to allow Pokémon skins in Among Us, one fan of the games has taken the liberty to draw up some of their own Pokémon x Among Us designs. Reddit user Amanda_geddon posted a batch of Pokémon crewmates to the Pokémon subreddit, and they look fantastic. The crewmate skin concepts stay true to the colors available in-game, and each Pokémon chosen fit those colors perfectly. The seven crewmate Pokémon are Vulpix (Red), Torchic (Orange), obligatory Pikachu (Yellow), Bellosum (Green), Chinchou (Blue), Slowking (Pink), and Koffing (Purple).
The designs are not only great depictions of each Pokémon, but the linework and quality of the overall design look like something that would have come directly from InnerSloth. The effort put into creating Among Us fanart is astounding, with some creators spending countless hours on their projects. From creating skin concepts to recreating the entire game in Rocket League, Among Us has an incredibly wholesome and dedicated fanbase.
While Among Us is a fun game to play with friends, one of the best parts of Among Us is the content generated by its community. It's hard to think of another title, especially an independently developed one, that has garnered attention like Among Us. Fall Guys rode a similar wave of fanmade costume concepts, but Among Us has taken this content to another level. Will Among Us ever have an official crossover with Pokémon? It's unlikely, but the fanmade skin concepts are enough to make Pokémon and Among Us fans wish they would.
