Celebrity Big Brother 3 has yet to be officially announced, but the fans are already speculating about which possible stars might be on the show. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CBS wasn't able to produce CBB3 in 2020. The fans had been expecting this third season around late winter and early spring, which is when the show usually comes on. But as the months went by, it became clear that CBS was just going to skip this year as far as Celebrity Big Brother goes. And to the surprise of many, Big Brother 22 was almost cut as well because of the safety concerns related to COVID-19.
But the production team eventually did pull of Big Brother 22: All-Stars, even if it premiered much later in the summer. Moreover, other networks worked their hardest to make their own big reality TV properties happen in 2020. For example, ABC was able to broadcast brand-new seasons of The Bachelorette and Dancing With The Stars this year. Reports also indicate that VH1 gave the go-ahead for RuPaul's Drag Race to film over the summer, and insiders are saying that the second season of Netflix's The Circle US is in production. All of these shows extended their "sequester" period and repeatedly tested each contestant to make sure that they don't have COVID-19 and thus cannot spread it to others on set.
Since a report came out about a possible Celebrity Big Brother 3 season happening in early 2021, the fans have been working overtime to figure out who'd be on the cast. The anonymous source that broke this news talked about producers wanting to cast a Real Housewives star, a celebrity chef, and someone from the Tiger King docu-series. It seems like Carole Baskin is the producers' first pick, but they're reportedly open to casting people like Doc Antle, Dillon Passage, or John Finlay. On Twitter, the fans have also been throwing around quite a few names. One of those names is Survivor alum and high-profile podcaster Rob Cesterino, who (jokingly?) replied "ok, fine" to a fan asking if he'd ever do Celebrity Big Brother. The fans are also clamoring for Tiffany Pollard (a.k.a. New York) and Miranda Cosgrove to be cast on the show.
Considering that former presidential aide Omarosa Manigault Newman was cast on Celebrity Big Brother 1, the fans also think that certain people who are currently working for Trump might be on CBB3. Two names that stand out the most are Kellyanne Conway and Kayleigh McEnany. However, all this information is based on rumors and speculation. In addition, even if all of these things turn out to be true, there's always the possibility that certain stars don't want to go on the show, where they'd be very exposed.
For now, the fans just have to wait to hear more news - or even possible confirmations or denials - regarding this alleged Celebrity Big Brother 3 season.
