The anticipated Untitled Goose Game crossover is finally live in Fall Guys - and it’s a much bigger tie-in than usual, with a total of three new skins and an emote. It goes far beyond expectations as the original reveal hinted at just a single costume of the titular goose itself.
The Untitled Goose Game crossover was initially announced via a deeply unsettling developer livestream featuring Fall Guys team dressed in terrifying geese costumes. The official Twitter account of Mediatonic’s party game posted a short video teaser in advance, allowing fans to prepare for the eerie spectacle they were about to witness. It was later followed by a livestream, during which the first look at the Untitled Goose Game crossover skin in Fall Guys was presented. Both games share a brilliantly implemented action-packed mayhem, which is a solid argument for bringing them together.
The mischievous and naughty goose from the Untitled Goose Game has finally landed in Fall Guys, as announced on the game's Twitter account. Now, players can not only purchase the titular character’s costume but also get two more additional skins afterward. The Goose costume will stay available for a few days with both the head and the body pieces costing players five crowns each. Next will come crossover costumes of the Groundskeeper and the Boy, two famous NPCs from the Untitled Goose Game. Finally, there’s also a special Honk emote, which will allow Goose-dressed players to cosplay the character with maximum authenticity while scaring the living daylights out of their competitors.
Interestingly, one of the previous crossover skins featuring Sonic the Hedgehog costume was initially teased in a similar manner as the Untitled Goose Game crossover. Back then, both Mediatonic and SEGA employees dressed as nightmarish abominations of blue color distantly resembling the iconic character of Sonic for a livestream. But as much as their costumes were intentionally terrible, the actual in-game skin turned out to be lovely and adorable, perfectly fitting the style and design of Fall Guys’ cute bean mascots.
It feels like Fall Guys is going to adopt the entirety of the gaming culture piece by piece featuring crossover skins from across the whole industry. With Geralt being heavily rumored to receive his very own Fall Guys makeover, it is a matter of time until the game gets filled up with all sorts of amazing cosmetics. And honestly, let it be that way - as long as the character design team at Mediatonic maintains its impressive creativity.
Fall Guys is available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
