The stars of Keeping Up With The Kardashians are no stranger to receiving criticism on social media. The Kardashian-Jenner clan is very often placed at the center of some backlash from viewers and fans over their relationships, lifestyle choices, statements, and/or decisions. However, while the Kardashian-Jenner family members might be used to trolls on Twitter and on Instagram, there's another big social network with users who have been unleashing their wrath on the reality stars.
Members of the KUWTK family have become trending topics in recent weeks over criticism they've received for the birthday parties that they've thrown in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Kim Kardashian was the first to be thrown into the lion's den after she shared photos of her remote island birthday getaway, which was a surprise to her relatives and friends. Many called her out for the lavish vacation because it is taking place during a looming health pandemic. In addition, critics claim she flaunted her wealth while many people are struggling during this economic recession. However, her sister Kendall Jenner took the heat off of Kim after she hosted a massive Halloween party for her birthday that resulted in her getting flamed by naysayers on social media.
Following Kendall Jenner's lavish Halloween party, a Reddit thread surfaced about the model's attempt to promote the importance of voting during her party. "Kendall telling everyone to VOTE when throwing that awful birthday party is the last straw for me," one comment read. The Reddit user went on to share a call-to-action against the family. "I unfollowed all of them this morning," the user revealed. "The only thing that will scare them is irrelevancy. They THRIVE on attention & we need to just take it away." Yikes! The thread received over 150 comments from many users who agree with the original poster.
Another Reddit user joined in and acknowledged that Kendall's support of voting was "important," but added that "it doesn't sit right with me how Kendall and Kim tell us this right after being called out for their birthday activities. It's giving me privilege and ignorance." With that said, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters weren't the only ones catching the heat. Another Reddit thread called out Scott Disick for "becoming creepy". The Redditor who started the thread called out Kourtney's ex and baby daddy for his history of dating women much younger than him.
The latest set of Kardashian-Jenner shade on Reddit is related to people accusing Khloe of faking her coronavirus diagnosis on the latest season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. As always, it's important to take these social media allegations with a grain of salt, to say the least.
