Bravo's The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has started with a bang, and fans are loving it. The latest Housewives franchise made its debut last week and has been receiving lots of buzz after the premiere. Housewives fans near and far have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the new show, including fellow Bravo star Katie Maloney. It appears the Vanderpump Rules star has already taken issue with one of the Salt Lake City housewives.
Salt Lake City, Utah is the newest city with a crew of housewives. During the premiere, fans were introduced to Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Jennifer Shah, and Meredith Marks. The city hosts the Mormon church headquarters, but the ladies share a unique set of religious backgrounds that make way for some dramatic encounters during filming. Lisa Barlow's successful career as an entrepreneur is heavily featured on the show. As the owner of LUXE marketing and VIDA tequila, the NYC native has become known in the Salt Lake area as a true boss. The self-proclaimed "Mormon 2.0" has already struck up a feud with Heather over her "I don't know her" approach to their history together.
In addition to rubbing Heather the wrong way, Lisa seemingly offended fellow Bravo star and Utah native, Katie Maloney. During the premiere, Lisa boasted about being the "Sundance queen" for anyone wanting tickets to Salt Lake City's famous annual film festival. However, according to Katie, she's a festival regular and she has never heard of Lisa. "They referred to Lisa as ‘the Sundance Queen,’ saying ‘If you want to get into any party at Sundance, you gotta know Lisa. You gotta kiss the ring,'" Katie said in an Instagram Story post captured by Reality Tea. “For one, I’m from Park City, where the Sundance Film Festival takes place and that might not make a lot of a difference, but still, [I’ve] been to a lot of parties there."
The Bravo alum went on to pull a similar move Lisa has already tried with Heather on the show. "[I’ve] never heard this woman’s name,” Katie added. She shaded the new housewife further by shouting out the people's names she can use to get into the festival, and Lisa isn't one of them. "There are people’s names that I know to use and she’s definitely not one of them. Just saying,” Katie added.
Yikes. Who knew Tequila Katie would unleash her wrath on a Utah resident and tequila brand owner? It looks like Lisa Barlow may be making enemies beyond her fellow housewives.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on Bravo.
