The Bachelorette: Tayshia Adams' Job, Income, & Net Worth Explained

Tayshia Adams has replaced Clare Crawley on The Bachelorette season 16. Many fans are now curious to know more about the new bachelorette's job, earnings, and net worth. Let's see what she does for a living and how much she makes in a year.

Tayshia first appeared on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor in 2019. She was one of the top three contestants in season 23, but at the last moment, Colton broke up with Tayshia and picked Cassie Randolph during the fantasy suite dates. Many reports confirm that the contestants don't get paid to be on the show, and only the lead receives a salary. Although Tayshia didn't earn anything for her appearance, she did get recognition. Eventually, she got the opportunity to appear on Bachelor in Paradise season six. During the show, the 30-year-old reality TV star got involved with fellow contestant John Paul Jones. However, the couple decided to split after the show concluded.

According to Cosmopolitan, contestants do get paid to appear on Bachelor in Paradise. Tayshia might have collected between $7,000 and $15,000 for her airtime. Apart from the reality TV gig, The Bachelor viewers learned Tayshia worked as a phlebotomist, the technician who draws blood from a vein. The average salary for a phlebotomist in the United States is $12.85 per hour (via Indeed), which is $40k a year. After Tayshia's first appearance on The Bachelor, she began working with various brands, which must have helped her rake in extra cash by getting sponsorships and promotional deals. At the moment, she has over 1 million Instagram followers. With such a huge following, influencers usually charge several thousand dollars per post. In the past, she has been noticed promoting big brands, including Smirnoff and Secret deodorant. Check out the sponsored IG photo she posted below:

The Santa Ana native hasn't yet disclosed her net worth, but Cosmopolitan estimated it to be somewhere between $1 to $5 million. Plus, she is now the star of The Bachelorette season 16. By the end of the show, she will get not only the love of her life, but also a hefty paycheck.

There are some speculations that Tayshia would have to share her Bachelorette paycheck with fellow season 16 lead Clare Crawley. But, it's also possible both bachelorettes will get full salaries from ABC. Cheat Sheet reports that the lead of The Bachelorette season eight, Emily Maynard, was reportedly paid $250,000. It's likely Tayshia will also make somewhere close to this amount for her appearance.
