A lot of speculation in WandaVision has centered on the character of Quicksilver and how he connects the Fox X-Men franchise to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His arrival in WandaVision impacts the MCU in a lot of ways, including introducing the multiverse. But Quicksilver might not actually be Quicksilver at all.
In the sixth episode of the series, it started to become clear that not everything was on the level with this Quicksilver, who appeared out of nowhere and evaded most of Wanda's questions. Is he someone in disguise? Is he actually the mastermind behind Westview? Who could he really be?
10 Mephisto
Comic book fans know a lot about Mephisto, who is essentially the devil of the Marvel Universe. They have been quick to point out the numerous references to Mephisto in WandaVision, some of which came from Quicksilver himself in episode six.
He calls Tommy and Billy "demon spawn" and refers to Westview as "Hell." Quicksilver is also unusually cruel to Wanda, saying "your husband can't die twice, can he?" If Pietro is someone else, then Mephisto, with his strong ties to all the characters in the comics, is an obvious candidate.
9 Nightmare
Mephisto isn't the only candidate for the Big Bad in Westview. Another is Nightmare, a supervillain who is generally associated with Doctor Strange. Given the fact that Wanda will appear in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, Nightmare is a possibility.
Nightmare has the ability to draw power from the psychic energies of dreaming beings. Could the denizens of Westview be asleep? Director Heyward refers to the situation in Westview as a 'nightmare' a couple of times throughout episode 6.
8 Agnes
WandaVision is a tribute to vintage television sitcoms, including the nosy neighbor. That's certainly Agnes, but that's not all she may be. Agnes clearly knows something is going on in Westview, and in episode six, appeared to be trying to escape.
Speculation has centered on her possibly being Agatha Harkness, Wanda's mentor and fellow sorceress in the comic books. Their relationship is more congenial there, but Agatha hasn't always been on the level. She once erased Wanda's memories of her children without Wanda's consent.
7 Dottie
Another mysterious Westview citizen is Dottie Jones. Dottie has been MIA since the early episodes, and from the moment that Jimmy Woo arrived seeking his missing witness. She wasn't on his whiteboard, which is strange, considering Dottie is one of the highest-profile members of the Westview community.
Could she be his missing witness? Could she be someone else in disguise? Dottie has some connection to the character of Arcanna, a sorceress, from the Squadron Supreme in the comics. She and her husband Phil Jones at least share similar names.
6 Magneto
If the door has been thrown open to the multiverse in WandaVision, then it makes sense other non-MCU movie characters could appear. One with strong ties to Wanda and Pietro is Magneto. Magneto was their father in the comics, at least until recent years when it was retconned away in the wake of the conflicting movie rights between Fox and Disney.
That conflict no longer exists, and if the Fox X-Men Magneto is somehow in the MCU, he could be trying to change or revise history through Wanda's tremendous powers.
5 Dormammu
Another major Doctor Strange villain who could be trying to manipulate Wanda is Dormammu. He is the ruler of the Dark Dimension, a powerful dimensional entity that Doctor Strange confronted and defeated in his first movie.
Dormammu's ambition is to absorb all other universes into his Dark Dimension, which could be at work in Westview. If he is trying to gain access to other realities, including the Fox X-Men one or the MCU, Wanda could be a means of doing that.
4 Ultron
There a lot of fan theories about how Ultron could return to the MCU. One of them has him coming back in WandaVision. There is some evidence to suggest the villain wasn't completely destroyed in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and he may be seeking revenge on Wanda and her husband.
Ultron wanted Vision's body for his own, and now at least he seems to have an opportunity. Better yet, Tommy and Billy would be ideal candidates, and everything in Westview is 'for the children,' as Dottie pointed out.
3 Nicholas Scratch
Nicholas Scratch is an obscure Marvel villain from the comics who nevertheless has strong ties to what may be going on in Westview. He is the son of Agatha Harkness, and a citizen of a hidden community called New Salem of all magic users. He is a wizard with considerable power to manipulate people and influence minds.
He was also indirectly referenced in episode two of WandaVision when Agnes presents Wanda with a bunny named Señor Scratchy. 'Mr. Scratch' is also an alias of the Devil in some stories, which could be another reference to Mephisto.
2 Master Pandemonium
An obscure villain with a direct connection to the story of Tommy and Billy Maximoff is Master Pandemonium. This villain in many ways is responsible for many of the modern comics that have influenced WandaVision, including House Of M.
Master Pandemonium abducts Tommy and Billy in the comics, believing they have been created with fragments of his soul. He absorbs them back into himself, essentially destroying them, and sending Wanda into inconsolable grief. It's later revealed the soul fragments were Mephisto's and not Pandemonium's.
1 Arnim Zola
An MCU villain with a connection to Wanda and Pietro is Arnim Zola. This member of HYDRA appeared in the Captain America movies and experimented on the Space Stone which would eventually be used to give Wanda and Pietro their powers.
Zola existed as a disembodied consciousness in a computer in The Winter Soldier, where he was found in an abandoned military base in New Jersey (where Westview is). In the comics, Zola's primary goal is to find a new body, and it's entirely possible that he could be doing so in the MCU as well.
