Every New Location In Fortnite Season 6 | Screen Rant

Season 6 of Fortnite is finally here, and it's setting the stage for an impending war between Agent Jonesy and The Seven. As always, this new season introduces a few major new points of interest to The Island, also scattering a plethora of smaller landmarks around the map. In order for players to become the apex predators of this Primal season, they will first need to get the lay of the land with a rundown of Fortnite Season 6's new locations.

New seasons of Fortnite are the most exciting times for fans of the battle royale. Every new season features a wave of new content, including locations, weapons, utilities, and game-changing mechanics. Fortnite Season 6 has a large number of new items and even introduces a simple crafting system that allows players to upgrade their weapons from the safety of their inventory screens. Players will also run into passive and hostile forms of wildlife in Fortnite Season 6, roaming the map and dropping crafting materials, such as Animal Bones.

However, the most important part of a new Fortnite season is the new map locations. These oftentimes replace old locations, which can drastically affect where players will want to drop. Many players land at the same locations and follow the same loot paths each match in order to perfect their landings, but new locations mean that usual routine can be completely thrown off. Here's every new location in Fortnite Season 6.

The biggest change from Fortnite's Season 5 to Season 6 is that the large desert area in the center of the map has been replaced by an orange-colored area that branches into six directions. In the middle of the map is The Spire, which is a new POI surrounded by buildings and patrolled by the Spire Assassin. Other new POIs include Boney Burbs and Colossal Crops. Boney Burbs replaced Salty Towers but still maintains a city-like structure, now themed to look more "primal." Colossal Crops replaced Colossal Colosseum but more closely resembles Frenzy Farm, a POI in that location before Colosseum. Weeping Woods has also received some minor changes, though it primarily looks the same as it did in previous seasons.

Each of the six orange branches has a smaller Spire located at the end that acts as a new landmark. Each Spire is guarded by a Spire Guardian mini-boss that drops a special orb when eliminated. These orbs can be carried to The Spire and turned into Fortnite's new Mythic Spire Jumpboots. The Spires are great places to find loot, but they can also be dangerous because of how powerful the Spire Guardians are.

So far, these are all of the major changes made to The Island's map during Season 6. As with every season of Fortnite, however, there are bound to be more changes made to the map over the course of the season.
