The Love, Weddings & Other Disasters cast is headlined by Diane Keaton, but she's just one of several big name performers in the ensemble. Written and directed by frequent Adam Sandler collaborator Dennis Dugan, the 2020 movie follows characters of all ages who look for love in Boston. Love, Weddings & Other Disasters originally had a theatrical premiere and has since released on streaming services.
In Love, Weddings & Other Disasters, a Boston woman named Jessie breaks up with her boyfriend while skydiving and crashes into a wedding. She becomes known as the "Wedding Thrasher" and lands a gig as a wedding planner for a politician's marriage event. Jessie eventually collaborates with the successful caterer Lawrence Phillips, who softens his stern demeanor while dating a blind woman, Sara (Keaton). Meanwhile, tour guide Captain Ritchie hopes to find a former patron, his "Cinderella." Like most rom-coms, the climax of Love, Weddings & Other Disasters includes several grand gestures.
The supporting Love, Weddings & Other Disasters cast also features a former pop star-turned-voice-actor, Jesse McCartney, along with Mexican singer Diego Boneta. The romantic comedy initially centers on American actress Maggie Grace but then shifts its focus to Keaton and the esteemed English actor Jeremy Irons.
