August is looking pretty stacked when it comes to new content in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players every bit of new content coming to the game in the month of August. It is a bit slower when compared to July which just held its annual Go Fest event. Players from all around the world were able to participate in legendary raids, complete Special Research Tasks, capture new regional Pokemon, and share a positive Pokemon experience with their peers. Although, tons of what was unlocked during Go Fest have carried over into the month of August. Here is every event for players to look forward to this August.
During Go Fest, players were tasked with completing Global Challenges. These tasks can only be done if the entire Pokemon Go community came together to finish them. Millions of players from around the globe were able to complete all 24 Global Challenges with little trouble. As a reward for this, Niantic has released the Ultra Unlock event which is taking place this August with a slew of new content. Here is every new event happening in August 2021.

- Research Breakthrough: The encounter for completing the Research Breakthrough has been switched to a Chimecho encounter.
- Weekly Remote Raid Pass: Players will be able to pick up 1 Remote Raid Pass for a single PokeCoin throughout the month.
- Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time: This will take place until August 6th. Players will be able to find a Dialga in raid battles.
- Ultra Unlock Part 2: Space: This will take place from August 6th to August 20th. Players will be able to find Palkia in raid battles.
- Ultra Unlock Part 3:???: This will take place after August 20th and will introduce players to a new Pokemon.
- Spotlight Hour Magnemite: This will take place on August 3rd from 6 pm to 7 pm local time.
- Spotlight Hour East Sea Shellos: This will take place on August 10th from 6 pm to 7 pm local time.
- Spotlight Hour West Sea Shellos: This will take place on August 17th from 6 pm to 7 pm local time.
- Hidden Spotlight Hours: 2 new Pokemon will be introduced on August 24th and August 31st during normal Spotlight Hour times.
- Eevee Community Day: Players will have their chance to find a Shiny Eevee on August 15th from 11 am to 5 pm local time.
- GO Battle Night: This will take place on August 26th and players will receive three times the Stardust for winning battles.
More events will likely be announced as the month progresses. Niantic always has something hidden up their sleeves. It will be interesting to see what they will reveal.
