Netflix has unveiled a star-studded cast for its upcoming family ghost adventure film titled We Have A Ghost. The film is based on a short story titled Ernest, written by Geoff Manaugh, published on Vice in 2017. The story follows a family that finds a ghost named Ernest is haunting their new home. The spirit is relatively harmless but falls victim to exploitation from a family looking to use the supernatural sensation for their monetary gain.
THR states that Netflix has cast Stranger Things star David Harbor and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie for the upcoming ghostly flick. Also included in the cast is Tig Notaro (Army of the Dead), Jennifer Coolidge (Legally Blonde), and Jahi Di'Allo Winston (Charm City Kings).
Blumhouse director Christopher Landon, known for his work in Happy Death Day and Freaky, will direct We Have a Ghost based on a screenplay he also wrote. Additionally, the cast is rounded out with Erica Ash, Isabella Russo, Niles Fitch, Faith Ford, and Steve Coulter. Landon, Manaugh, John Fischer, Korey Budd, and Nathan Miller serve as executive producers.
We Have a Ghost will center around high schooler Kevin, whose supernatural discovery turns him and his family into bonafide social media stars. However, once Kevin and his new friend start digging deeper into Ernest's past, they catch the attention of the CIA. We Have A Ghost filmmakers have selected a cast with plenty of experience working on supernatural stories and will be familiar faces for the family-friendly adventure.
