Viewers are gearing up for 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3, but 90 Day Fiancé fans aren't equally psyched up about all of the couples' storylines. Promos and teasers for The Other Way season 3 have laid out the plotlines for the four returning couples and two new pairs. While many viewers have voiced excitement about some of the couples, fans are not happy with the entire cast.
One thing that 90 Day Fiancé fans want is fresh content. Season 8 of the original hit show, as well as 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, left viewers disappointed. Fans felt that too many returning couples dragged out their stale drama, such as the never-ending sagas between Natalie Mordovtseva and Mike Youngquist or Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi. After two seasons of repetitive franchise content, many The Other Way viewers are looking forward to meeting some new people.
Though only two new couples will be introduced in The Other Way season 3, many viewers are very eager to meet them. Kenny and Armando are not only the stars of the season but one of the highest-rated couples in the entire franchise. Many viewers find the American and Mexican couple to be a breath of fresh air since their love for each other is truly palpable. The couple will focus on planning 90 Day Fiancé franchise star Armando's wedding this season, though his expectations might be outside of Kenny's budget. While the franchise runs on drama, viewers are hoping that Kenny and Armando do not face any relationship obstacles so that they can remain beloved.
Steven Johnston and Alina are one of the new couples to join the cast of The Other Way. American Steven, 25, will air his love story with his 20-year-old Russian partner Alina. The duo connected on a language learning app while Steven was on his Mormon mission. The couple will have to deal with some challenges, including the pandemic closing down the Russian borders and forcing the couple to turn to their backup plan of marrying in Turkey. Alina is revealed to consider Mormonism a type of cult, while teasers for the new season have hinted that Steven’s past might threaten his future with his potential bride. Plenty of The Other Way viewers are intrigued by the couple’s plotline, which hopefully shows a genuine romance, along with the expected drama.
American Ellie Rose, 45, and her Colombian partner Victor, 38, are the second new couple that The Other Way season 3 will feature. Though the couple has intrigued viewers, some are concerned that their relationship might already be over. The season trailer revealed that Victor appeared to have been unfaithful and Ellie already wanted to go back to the United States. The 90DF couple met while Ellie was on vacation, and she ended up making the big decision to join Victor on a small Colombian island, Providencia. However, infidelity, financial issues, and trust may threaten the couple’s romance. Even more alarming is a Category 5 hurricane that will cause panic for the couple before Ellie even arrives. Viewers are hoping that Ellie and Victor will have a genuine romance. Is the Colombian man using his American partner?
Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre will be returning for another season of highs and lows. Some viewers have mixed feelings about the relationship between the 29-year-old American and her 31-year-old Ethiopian partner. The season will introduce Ari’s ex-husband and current best friend Leandro, a decision that has shocked many viewers. 90 Day Fiancé fans will also see how Ari from 90 Day Fiancé is adapting to life in Ethiopia. Jenny has been put through the wringer when it comes to relationship obstacles, and many viewers are shocked that she is still trying to make her relationship work. While Sumit’s mother offers to move in with the 90 Day Fiancé couple and train Jenny to be a more traditional Indian wife this season, many viewers don’t think that Sumit will ever marry Jenny. Overall, viewers would have preferred to meet a third new couple who are actually interested in marriage, and some fans think that Jenny needs to move on.
Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber are the returning pair that fans have complained about the most. The 28-year-old Ecuadorian woman and her on-again-off-again American partner, 34, will be back for more ups and downs. Though the couple had one of their breakups, the pandemic and quarantining brought them back together. Viewers will see the duo back on track for marriage, though many fans don’t think Evelin wants to wed Corey.
Some viewers are already rooting for Corey from 90DF and his partner Jenny, who is Peruvian, to be a couple. It will be revealed that Corey had a potential romance with a woman in Peru during one of his breakups with Evelin. 90 Day Fiancé fans are urging Corey to avoid marrying Evelin due to her rudeness towards him. Corey and Jenny could become the next franchise couple. Clearly, there is a lot to look forward to during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3, along with a possible downside.
