American Horror Stories Episode 7: Game Over Cast & Character Guide

The season finale of American Horror Stories, episode 7, “Game Over,” features both the return and introduction of AHS cast members and characters. American Horror Stories episode 7 follows the mayhem of Murder House when a mother buys the home with her teenage son. American Horror Stories episode 6, “Feral,” was the first to bring back an actor from a previous episode of the season, while episode 7 features the return of “Rubber Woman” and Murder House characters.

Episode 7 features many of the same cast members and characters from AHStories’ “Rubber Woman,” which was the two-part premiere episode for season 1. Not only are episodes 1 and 2’s characters returning, but "Game Over" also features a massive return to the Murder House that encapsulated the action of American Horror Story season 1, Murder House. As teased earlier in the season by Ryan Murphy, several beloved AHS: Murder House ghosts and their actors return for American Horror Stories’ season 1 finale.

In American Horror Stories’ most stacked array of actors and characters for an episode so far, “Game Over” is a climactic ride that ends the AHS spinoff’s first season. Here’s a breakdown of American Horror Stories episode 7’s new and returning cast and characters.

Connie stays the night at AHS's Murder House with her boyfriend, both of whom are huge American Horror Story fans. Noah Cyrus is the young sister of Miley and daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, who previously came to fame for her hit song “Make Me (Cry).” Her previous acting credits include various roles on Hannah Montana as a young child and the titular voice of Ponyo in the English-language version.

Dylan stays the night at Murder House with his girlfriend Connie, who is also an American Horror Story show obsessive. Hagenbuch is best known for his role as Kimmy Gibbler’s brother and Stephanie Tanner’s husband Jimmy Gibbler on Netflix’s Fuller House reboot series. Additionally, Hagenbuch had a recurring role as Greg “Mingo” Shimingo on Switched at Birth.

Michelle is a video game designer who tries to make a game out of American Horror Story. Michelle ends up buying Murder House as an investment where she conducts research for her new game. Mercedes Mason is best known for playing Ophelia Salazar on Fear the Walking Dead, Talia Del Campo on NCIS: Los Angeles, and Zoe Anderson on The Rookie.

Nicolas Bechtel plays Rory, the teenage son of Michelle who is an American Horror Story fanatic. Bechtel is a former child actor known for playing Spencer Cassadine on General Hospital and Lewie Diaz on Disney’s Stuck in the Middle.

Scarlett Winslow was introduced as the protagonist in American Horror Stories episodes 1 and 2, “Rubber Woman,” as she took over the titular moniker from Tate Langdon. American Horror Stories styled Scarlett as a psychopathic in a way that slightly mimicked Tate in AHS: Murder House, where she began to murder girls who pranked her at school in the house and began a romantic relationship with Murder House’s resident ghost, Ruby. As the only surviving current resident of the Murder House, Scarlett was able to return frequently before coming back for good in American Horror Stories episode 7. Sierra McCormick is notable for her childhood Disney Channel career where she portrayed Olive Doyle on A.N.T. Farm and Connie on Jessie.

One of the main characters from AHS: Murder House, Ben Harmon was a therapist who moved his daughter Violet and wife Vivien into the Murder House. After all three characters died including their stillborn son died in the house, their spirits were trapped there for eternity. Ben Harmon was last referenced in “Rubber Woman” when Dr. Grant mentioned another therapist in the house wanted to write a book, and “Game Over” officially brings him back. Dylan McDermott is also notable for playing Lana and Bloodyface’s son in AHS: Asylum as well as portraying Bobby Donnell on The Practice and Ernie West in Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood.

Ruby is Scarlett’s Murder House spirit girlfriend who was introduced in American Horror Stories’ “Rubber Woman.” She's quite morbid and enjoys torturing the other souls trapped in Murder House. Gerber is the daughter of famous ‘80s model Cindy Crawford, with her American Horror Stories role of Ruby being her first featured acting gig outside of video shorts.

Jamie Brewer as Adelaide LangdonAmerican Horror Stories episode 7 is the first time Jame Brewer has returned to the American Horror Story world since reprising her role as Nan in AHS season 8, Apocalypse. In American Horror Stories “Game Over,” Brewer reprises her celebrated role as Adelaide “Addie” Langdon from AHS: Murder House. Brewer is also notable for portraying the talented witch Nan in AHS: Coven and Shelly in Cherry (2021).

Paris Jackson as Maya: The leader of Murder House’s popular girl group who previously pranked Scarlett with a sexual Livestream. Jackson is the daughter of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, who also starred as Jesus in Habit and Nelly in Gringo.

Shane Carpenter as Infantata: One of Murder House’s most infamous ghosts, Infantata is also known as Thaddeus Montgomery, the baby of Nora and Dr. Charles Montgomery who the latter tried to reconstruct after his death. Infantata frequently appears in flashing dark sequences when trying to terrify a victim. Carpenter also played Charlie in 2017’s Kuso.

Celia Finkelstein as Gladys: One of the two nurse ghosts original from AHS: Murder House who previously appeared as Ruby’s frequent victim in “Rubber Woman.” Finkelstein previously played Margie in Horrible Bosses.

Tom Lenk as Tim the Agent: The new Murder House agent after Marcy who sells the house to Michelle. Lenk previously played Arnie in Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and Andrew Wells in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Merrin Dungey as Dr. Andi Grant: Another of the new Murder House resident ghosts introduced in American Horror Stories’ premiere episodes, “Rubber Woman.” Grant was killed in the Murder House after counseling Scarlett, Michael, and Troy about Scarlett’s violent sexual explorations. Dungey previously played Kelly Palmer in The King of Queens.

Valerie Loo as Nicole: Returning from AHStories “Rubber Woman,” Nicole was one of Scarlett’s victims from the popular girl group at her high school in Murder House’s basement. Nicole also later reconnected with her brother on Halloween night. So far, AHStories is Loo’s only featured acting credit.

Selena Sloan as Erin: One of the popular girls that Scarlett and Ruby killed in Murder House, who Ruby then tortured by skinning her face. Sloan previously starred in video shorts, including Between the Lines.

Ashley Martin Carter as Rowena: Notable for always wearing her jean jacket, Rowena was friends with Maya and was one of Scarlett’s murder victims in the basement. American Horror Stories is Carter’s first acting role.
