An unusual bug found in Red Dead Redemption 2 by a Reddit user allows the game's main character to be fired into the air high above the clouds. The open-world Western game has become one of Rockstar's most successful titles, with publisher Take-Two revealing that the Red Dead Redemption series has sold over 60 million units. Red Dead Redemption 2 was responsible for 38 million of those sales, making it one of the best-selling games of recent times.
Despite the fact that the game was first released in 2018, players are still finding bugs and glitches. This is likely due to the fact that the in-game world is simply so large and filled with characters, items, and locations. One of the most useful glitches that was discovered this year included a glitched money box in Red Dead Redemption 2 that allows players to collect cash every day. The money box is located in the Shady Belle hideout in a graveyard.
A user on the Red Dead Redemption 2 subreddit has posted a strange glitch that sends the game's protagonist Arthur Morgan shooting into the air. In the video recorded by eatablecookie, which can be seen below, the player came across a bridge that was seemingly being affected by some sort of bug. This caused it to swing uncontrollably, and when the player attempted to cross it, it swung them into the air with enough force that it took 30 seconds for Morgan to fall back down to Earth. The bridge in question can be found in Pike's Basin in New Austin.

Just this week, another player proved that graphical effects such as blood and fire don't appear in mirrors in Red Dead Redemption 2. The Redditor filmed a scene where his character fired a gun at an NPC in a barbershop, with neither the fire from the gun or blood from the victim appearing in the reflection. The lack of these visual effects in mirrors is almost certainly due to Rockstar attempting to save processing power for other more important tasks.
Considering that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been available for more than two and a half years at this point, many people might assume that players would have found all the major glitches in the game. However, this latest video proves that in titles as big as this, it is impossible for developers or gamers to find every little bug. Fortunately, glitches like this are not exactly game breaking and are more entertaining than anything else.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia.
