Big Brother 22: Tyler Crispen Says Gameplay Was 'Reckless' This Season

As Big Brother: All-Stars nears the end of the season, contestant Tyler Crispen is looking back on his "reckless" gameplay after finding himself in the jury house for the first time ever. Tyler made it to the final six before being voted out of the All-Stars house on eviction night.

Big Brother fans first met Tyler Crispen when he walked into the Big Brother house for the first time in season 20. During that season, Tyler pretty much controlled the house the entire summer. He was in everyone's ears, managing to tell every house guest just what they wanted to hear. Tyler not only won the first HOH competition of the summer, proving his capabilities as a comp beast from the start, but he was also part of the dominating Level 6 alliance. Throughout the season, Tyler fell in love with now-girlfriend Angela Rummans. He made it to the final three with Angela and Kaycee Clark, before choosing Kaycee as his opponent in the final two. Tyler fell just one jury vote shy of winning the $500,000 grand prize. Now, two years later, Tyler found himself back in the Big Brother house to fight for a second chance at the first place prize. Walking into the house, Tyler had a game plan completely different than that of his last season. Despite thinking a change of gameplay would benefit him, Tyler fell short yet again and was evicted in 6th place.

Although Tyler teamed up with fellow all-star houseguests Cody Calafiore, Memphis Garrett, Christmas Abbott, Nicole Franzel, and Dani Briones to form The Committee alliance, he made some major mistakes throughout the game that resulted in his eviction.  After some time to reflect on his second season while in the jury house, Tyler (virtually) sat down to talk about his gameplay this season with Us Weekly. The interview kicked off by asking Tyler what he considered to be his biggest mistake of the season. While fans would think that the obvious answer would be his vote against the house to evict Nicole in the triple eviction, Tyler had different thoughts. He shared, "My biggest mistake in this game was not bringing Angela [Rummans, his girlfriend] with me." He went on to explain that not having his "safe haven" by his side to ease his mind when things got tough set him off. Tyler went on to say, "But other than that, I was just absolutely reckless in that game. I was just doing things because I was bored. It took me forever to get a grasp on the game this time. So, I had a lot of mistakes, but I don’t have any regrets."

The interview didn't stop there. Tyler touched on wanting to self-evict earlier in the season. He explained that, while it was definitely disastrous to his game, he really wanted to improve his friendship with Bayleigh, who he had a blow-out with in season 20. He went on to say that prioritizing their friendship will last longer than just a summer. Tyler also shared his opinions on the remaining houseguests' gameplay. He expressed his confusion on Enzo voting to keep Nicole during the triple eviction. He did not see it as a good move because he worried Cody would choose Nicole over Enzo in the end. Tyler also shared that he thinks Cody has the best gameplay this season. His reasoning was that Cody is essentially covered in all angles due to his many alliances and deals. Cody is also a very strong social and physical player. The interview concluded with Tyler expressing his gratitude for Big Brother while also sharing he felt it should have been left as a once-in-a-lifetime experience for him.

Tyler is currently enjoying his first-ever Big Brother jury house experience. Hopefully, he can use this time to relax and unwind before heading home to Angela. It will be interesting to see who Tyler will cast his vote for on finale night.
