The Xbox Series X may not have many exclusives at launch, but Mørkredd, a co-op puzzle game exclusive to Xbox consoles, will be arriving shortly after. In the game, either a solo player or a team of two control a pair of characters tasked with navigating an orb around tricky obstacles. The game touts a unique control scheme that will have solo players controlling two characters on screen at once, but the developers also recommend playing in co-op for the best experience.
One key feature of the game highlighted in the reveal trailer from Aspyr is that the levels are shrouded in complete darkness, and players only have the almighty orb as a light source. This means that retaining level layouts is vital if players wish to navigate through each level successfully. The trailer also showcases the variety in level design and the various ways players will be moving the orb through them. It's easy to see how gameplay could shift from finding just the right path through a complex hallway to attempting to keep up with the sphere of light as it descends downward.
Players looking for an exclusive isometric puzzler to try on Xbox Series X won't have to wait too long after the console's launch. Mørkredd will launch onto Xbox consoles (including Xbox One X as well as Xbox Series X|S) this December. The game will also launch onto Xbox Game Pass and release on Steam and Windows 10 for those looking to check it out on PC. While the game may not stretch the limits of next-gen consoles by any means, it certainly seems like something worth a look for Game Pass subscribers looking for a weekend fling outside the AAA arena.
Mørkredd will launch onto Xbox Game Pass and be available on Xbox consoles, Windows 10, and Steam this December.
