Genshin Impact’s Version 1.6 update has players exploring the beautiful islands of the Golden Apple Archipelago. This update, “Midsummer Island Adventure” expands the map of the Genshin Impact world and introduces tons of new summer-themed minigames and events for players to enjoy.
After arriving at the Golden Apple Archipelago, players must find and light all the Teleportation Waypoints to finish the initial quest before they can freely explore the area. Here’s how to find and light all the Waypoint Devices in Genshin Impact.
When players start the Midsummer Island Adventure, Klee’s letter states that she must “light four beacons” to initiate her challenge with the Dodo-King. These “beacons'' or “devices” are simply Teleportation Waypoints, similar to the ones found around Teyvat. To complete the Mysterious Islands: Journey to the Unknown quest, players must find and light all four Waypoints to clear the fog in the Archipelago.
The Golden Apple Archipelago is separated into four main islands: Puddling Isle, Twinning Isle, Broken Isle, and Minacious Isle. Each of these islands has one of the waypoints, as well as a Waverider summoner so players can travel between the islands with ease.
The first device is on Pudding Isle, the island on which players begin the adventure. Lighting this one is straightforward, as the characters note that lighting it will clear the fog. Next, players should board the Waverider and head north to Twinning Isle, where the Teleport Waypoint is on the east side of the northern-most island. Players should then head southwest to the Broken Isle to find the third device near the middle of the large central island. Finally, players should sail south to Minacious Isle, where the last Waypoint can be found at the northwest corner of the northern island.
While the fog might make traveling the seas difficult, there are Glimmering Beacons that shine brightly through the fog. These floating beacons signify trails between each island, so following them should always bring the player to the next island. If players still find themselves getting lost, the map shows every waypoint. In addition, getting close to a waypoint will make a white icon appear on the minimap to indicate what direction it’s in, similar to the Echoing Conches for the Echoing Tales event.
After activating all four waypoints, the fog in the Golden Apple Archipelago will clear, and players will be able to explore the islands as they please. Being able to transport across the islands will make participating in the various events in Genshin Impact much easier, so players should clear this quest as soon as they can to get involved in the fun island activities to come in this update.
